How to be Judge or Lawyer

Working the the legal profession to become a Lawyer or a Judge is one of the many options in Life Simulator game BitLife. If you want to try this field here is our quick run down of the best way to do it.

Start Smart

To get the best start on the road to a legal career you want to start the play through with a character whose stats are high and work on improving or maintaining a smart stats to the higher end. A figure of 80-100 is a good place to be. If you character does not have more than average smart stats, it would be best to re roll a new life until you have this.

Something else to check when you start the life is your parents information which is shown in the timeline section. If their job is related to a Political Science or English subject (eg in a school) then you can consider this a good profile to work with.

Maintain The Smart Stat

To improve or maintain this stat while at primary and secondary school you will need to make sure you are visiting the library and study harder.

Library: – Activities -> mind & body -> library.

Study Harder: – School -> Primary/Secondary -> Study Harder.

Further education and studies

Once you graduate from high school you will be able to choose a career option. Choose to study English or Political Science. Given the random nature of the game there is a chance you wont get this in which case you can try for a different path or to focus on the legal profession you will need to start again. As above keep studying hard and visiting the library.

Law School

After graduating from the university with a Political Science degree or Undergraduate degree in English, the next step is to move on to Law School. This is done via the occupation button -> Education -> Law School. This is where you will need to be certain that the smart stat is as high as possible to give you the best chance of being accepted.

Get the Job

You will then gain yourself a Law degree from Law School and can then move on to apply for the job in a Law firm. Typical jobs are Law Clerk, Junior Associate, Junior Partner, etc. Apply for a job and once you get one work hard every year.

To finally get to the Judge option you need to apply for Magistrate post but to be approved you must have had 30 years experience in a law firm. This means you will need to work hard for 30 years in the same company. Once you done this you can use the job button and search for other job listings and apply for the Magistrate (Municipal) position. As well as the experience you will need to check that you keep up the smart stat to give yourself the best chance of being accepted.
