There are two exits but most of the enemy traffic will take place in the alley in the eastern side of the dam. You have to be careful of the flying Vipers. They are basically shielded Hornets and having more laser towers is the best way to deal with them. Make sure to use your Tesla tower if you can't seem to stop them. In the third wave, you have to deal with several Crusaders and Rocketeers, as well as a Destroyer in the lower path. In the fourth wave, you'll encounter more Vipers and invisible Wraiths. Make sure that your infantry towers are already upgraded at this point.
Veteran
Waves: 6
Starting Energy: 1200
Lives: 1
You're only allowed to use Infantry Towers and MG Towers. Fortunately, the upper path is blocked and there's only two blocked tower slots. However, you need to be careful since you only have MG towers to damage your enemies. Creat two infantry towers near the exits then fill the remaining slots with MG towers. Use the excess fund to upgrade the infantry tower and MG tower in the southeast corner. Continue upgrading the towers one by one as you gain more energy. Reserve your Tesla Tower shots if you feel that the enemies are breaking through.
Spec Ops

Starting Energy: 1750
Lives: 1
Apply the same tactics you did in the campaign mode. However, you may need to clear the blocked tower slot in the lower path. You'll need it to defend that position. Also, in the early parts of the wave, you'll have to deal with several crusaders and rocketeers so you should at least level up your Infantry Towers to two to resist their damage. Later in the wave, you'll have to deal with several Vipers so have your Tesla Tower ready just in case your defenses weren't able to shoot them down before they exit the map.
