When you complete quests in the Campaign, or is doing the Time Rift's Dwarf Arsenal, sell your unwanted items, even if these are items that level up your heroes in the reserved pool. You only need around ten heroes, use the coins to beef them up instead.
Do not forget the daily rewards, and sell what you won that you don't want.
Ether are rare item that can be found in either gold chests or during the Crusade. Each of this Ether is worth 500,000 coins.
Again, use the coins in upgrading skills.
Bronze chests are not worth it.
