What is Custom Mech Activation?

Once you have the weapon, exclusive pilot, and all three body parts of the custom mech, you still have to activate it from the Hangar menu. You’ll immediately know if a custom mech is activated or not if you can see the pilot by default. Activated mechs will have an extensively different appearance as well. You can activate or deactivate custom mechs at any time without any cost. Deactivated custom mechs can still be used in battle but the pilot will not be able to use the “Custom Mech Suit Activation” bonus effect on their skills.
