Path to Nowhere Guide
More Path to Nowhere

Last Updated:

Character growth is an integral part of any RPG or any game with combat progression. Leveling up is the standard measure of a character’s strength and you have to continuously improve this value as you progress through a game’s content in order to keep up with the challenges ahead. In our Promotion and Phase System Guide, we will briefly discuss how to Promote and improve the phase of your Sinners.

Path to Nowhere is a real-time strategy RPG where players use their authority and powers as the newly-appointed chief of an organization that captures and handles powerful entities called Sinners. Use their powers to form a combat-ready team of specialists specifically made for dealing with various threats to the city.

Promotion

Promotion is the process of leveling up a character. This is pretty straightforward; you just need to spend two types of resources: DisCoins (gold, money), and Mania Essence (level up crystal). These two are common resources that you can get from normal stages or reliably farming them from their dedicated Instances. However, you can only promote a Sinner to a certain level, after which, they’ll hit their “soft level cap”. To get past this, you’ll need to increase the sinner’s Phase to remove the level cap. You won’t be able to level up a sinner until you phase them up.

Phase Up

This is the game’s version of “limit breaking”. To put it simply, this is the process of improving the character’s overall strength and brings a lot of benefits as listed below. There are three phases that a sinner can go through, which will be represented by the number of white stars in their profile. You can also review all unlockable skills, rewards, and enhancement cost by tapping the three dots above the stats or to the right side of the stars (phase indicator) as shown below.

The Phase Up attire are unlockable “skins” or alternate costume/look for the character. Even the low rarity characters have impressive art, with backgrounds included. Some special characters even have L2D (Live2D) animated skins. Unlocking these alternate attires can be quite rewarding especially if you’ve been doing the grind for your favorite Sinners.

Enhancement Materials

You can conveniently view the selected material’s source by tapping its icon. From there, you can directly go to the screen where you can get said material like supply chests, item fusion, story mission, instance, and more. If you have already unlocked the Raid option for a stage where you can farm the materials, you can tap “Raid More” so you can easily get said materials quickly.
