Lost Lands 8 - Part 9

This is our walkthrough for Part 9 of Lost Lands 8 Sand Captivity, an mystery puzzle game from Five-BN games. In Part 8 we have activated the well in the floating Fugo Island and can now descend into the Temple for our next task.

Find out why Magic left the island

Collection item: a boot on the ground to the far right.

Morphing object: An egg shape by the pillar at the top right of the scene.

Around the central blue crystal are 3 archways still standing (and one on the lower left that has collapsed away.)

View each of the 3 remaining archways to see a statue of an animal in it.

This is the snake statue from the lower right. Tap the head to open it and you can place the snake skull inside.

Repeat this with the Wolf statue on the top right.

Then also the Eagle statue, top left.

Now tap to view the fallen archway on the lower left. Tap to try to reach it and you will be prompted to get a old rope bridge.

You can now travel back to the floating island where there is an old rope bridge hanging.

Use the knife on the bridge to cut it free and collect it.

Now view the rope bridge from your inventory and use the knife on it. This will cut away some of the planks and leave you with a ladder.

Go back to the temple and you can now use the ladder to reach the fallen arch.

This has a horse statue and we need to find the skull.

Now travel to the courtyard of the Academy of Magicians.

In the center is the floating sphere above the raised stone platform. Tap to view the platform.

Add the Set of figures (in a box) to the platform to start a puzzle.

To solve this puzzle you need to arrange the figures so that each fits with the symbols on the stone below it.

Each stone / figure set must have 3 different shapes and symbols.

Now view the floating sphere. This now has drawings on it. You need to find 15 named items.

You can rotate the sphere around to see all of the drawings.

The items are of varying sizes and some form part of larger drawings. A few are shown below for examples.

Once done the sphere will open and you can collect the Horse Skull.

Return to the temple and add the skull to the horse statue.

This removes a force field and you can now view the large crystal in the center.

Tap to look though the hole and see the lake below. This unlocks the next task.

Inspect the Lake

Before moving on collect the small 'Part of the crystal' that is on the ground to the left.

Now travel down to the ground level below the islands.

Then tap to view the small houseboat in the lake. You will see a cut scene where you meet a Beaver and you will receive an Underwater Potion.

Now on the edge of the lake just to the right of the house boat are some railings for some old steps. Tap to view these.

The steps are submerged in the water. Collect fro the water some purple seaweed and (in the same location) a 'Box with numbers'.

Now travel back to the Abandoned house of Maaron.

View the clock on the mantle above the fireplace. Add the box of numbers to it to begin the puzzle.

Complete the clock by adding the numbers to the dial. These are roman numerals. You must add then in the order from left to right. (i.e. for 4 you must add the I then the V).

Once done a secret cupboard will open. Look inside.

Collect from the lower shelf the large Dragon Vessel.

Now view the window on the right again and tap the glowing lava flower on the sill again to collect Lava flower Juice.

Next go to the greenhouse in the Academy and view the lemon tree on the top left.

Collect a lemon from it.

Then go back to Fugo Island to the initial scene with the river and the gate.

Tap the orange tree on the left to view it. You can then collect some Murmuri Berries from the tree.

Now return the ground area below the Fugo islands. Then view the Underwater potion recipe in the inventory.

First add the dragon vessel.

Then add the seaweed. Next add the Lemon and then select the knife to cut it. This will add the juice.

Now add the Lava flower juice. and Finally the Murmuri Berry.

You will collect the pot with ingredients.

Now view the small pool in the center of the are and add the pot to it to collect water.

You will now see a cut scene where you use the potion and dive underwater.
