Bonus Chapter - Part 4

This is our walkthrough for the Bonus Chapter of Lost Lands 8 Sand Captivity, an mystery puzzle game from Five-BN games. You will gain access to the Bonus Chapter after you complete the main game.

In the bonus chapter you will play as Kiana the granddaughter who has ventured into the Lost Lands for the first time via the portal left open by Susan.

This is the fourth part, in Bonus Chapter Page 3 we Explored the house in Pumpkinton and drew a picture for Joko. Now he will help us to get past the Troll and summon the water spirit.

Spirit of the River

After the cut scene you will have received a key. Return to the starting area in the Forest again to see the door to the dugout on the right.

Use the key to open the door and go inside.

Collection Item: hanging on the back wall just to the left of center.

Tap the bed on the right to view it. Then move the blanket on top to find the board game. You will now need to find all of the chips to collect it.

Now view the large chest on the left of the room, there is a puzzle on top.

To solve this you need to tap the flowers to light them in the correct order. You must start in the top left and go through each flower once. As you play blades will appear, you cannot then cross these blades so you need the order that will avoid them.

Once it is open you will need to find the 15 missing chips for the board game. These are hidden around the box.

Check the video below for all of the locations.

Now view the top of the small cabinet on the back right. There is a book on top.

Open this to see the recipe for the potion you need. Take the book.

Then view the front of the cabinet, open the door and collect form the top shelf an Empty flask

And from the bottom shelf a Tube.

View the bed again and add the chips to it, then you will collect the board game.

Then look under the bed and move the cloth, Collect the Jigsaw for metal.

View the Tube in your inventory and then use the saw on it. You will collect a sharp tube.

We are going to collect some ingredients. First exit the dugout and view the small fruit tree on the left again.

Tap the tree and you will collect some 'Leprechaun Eyes'.

Then move forward to the sign post tree.

View the tree on the left and use the sharp tube on it. Then use the Ax on this to bang the tube into the tree.

Finally use the empty flash to collect the drops of 'Coniferous Juice'.

Take the left path to the cave of the troll.

First collect the bucket from the ground. Then view the colorful fungi on the right. Use the knife here to collect the blue 'Pyramid Mushrooms'

Next return to Pumpkinton to the scene with the well. View the rack of drying fish.

Collect a Dry fish. Then view the well. Add the bucket to the well and it will lower.

Then tap the handle to raise it up and collect the bucket of water. Then head through the gate to the front of the house. View the flower in the barrow again.

Collect a Bellflower (blue).

Go back to the forest and find the Chapel stone.

Collect the shell from the lower right. Then return to the dugout.

View the book in the inventory, then add the ingredients that you have 1 by one until all lines are ticked.

You will collect 'Ingredients'

Now view the stove and bench on the left.

Tap inside the stove firebox to collect a screwdriver. Then tap the pile of wood on the floor to place it inside the firebox. Use the magic lighter to start the fire. The room fills with smoke so you need to back up and view the chimney on top of the mound.

Use the screwdriver here to remove the top. Then look inside.

Now go back inside the dugout and collect the poker that is leaning on the stove.

Then go back out to the chimney and use the poker to clear it..

Go back inside and view the bench again. Add the Ingredients to it to begin.

You can now follow the instruction in the book to make the potion. Watch the video below for the full method.

Now you have everything ready to move on. Travel to the cave of Toto the Troll and talk to him to start the cut scene. You will then play the board game.

To complete this you need to move the chips to the matching colored backgrounds. You can only slide the pieces, every few moves Toto will make a move as well, usually not helping.

Exit through the bigger gap to the funicular.

Collection item: in the rocks on the top left of the scene.

First open the door to the Funicular and look inside.

Then use the knife on the bag on the left to open it. Collect from inside a 'Scheme' diagram of a mechanism. And also a Chain. and Wheels (1 of 8)

Next tap below the pedals to collect another 'Wheels' (2 of 8)

Then collect the metal 'Lid' from the right.

Try the handle on the right of the funicular but it is stuck.

Exit the funicular and find another 'wheels' to collect on the rock at the bottom left of the scene. (3 of 8)

Now view the crate on the rocks on the right. Then use the Ax to break it open.

Collect from inside another 'Wheels' (4 of 8)

Now view the bottom right side of the funicular where the handle attaches. Try the handle again here, but it will not operate as it is overgrown with grass.

Use the lighter on the grass and it will be burned away. Then view the same area again under the funicular.

Tap the handle to move it and another wheel will appear to collect (5 of 8)

Now look in the patch of burned grass to the right of the funicular. You can collect 2 more wheels here (7 of 8)

Now view the mechanism at the top of the funicular.

Collect the last wheel and then tap to start the wheel puzzle. Place the scheme paper on the mechanism and add the wheels to begin. Then follow the plan to place the wheels and then thread the rope around them to activate the funicular.

Once that is done view the mechanism again and add the chain to it. And then add the lid.

The funicular is nearly ready. Enter the Funicular again and tap the pedals, this will complete the attachment of the chain to the pedals. Then you can tap the handle on the right to release the funicular and set off for the river.

Collection Item: resting on the rocks of the closes side of the bridge on the left.

Once you arrive, select the potion and tap on the river to start the final cut scene. We now know the story of how Kiana got to the river during the main story line.
