Lost Lands 8 - Part 6

This is our walkthrough for Part 6 of Lost Lands 8 Sand Captivity, an mystery puzzle game from Five-BN games. In Part 5 we have accessed the greenhouse in the Academy of Magicians and found the instructions for dealing with the aphids that have infected the plants.

Deal with aphids

Travel to the Plains and the garden of Maarons house (where the game started).

Then view the tree stump but the path in the center.

Tap the stump itself to pull away some loose wood, you do this 3 times.

You can then collect 10 Mystical mushrooms. There are 8 on the stump.

Move the rock on the left to find 1 more and tap the flowers ont he top right to find the last one.

Also collect a green 'Big leaf' from the base of the stump.

Enter the house and view the window on the right with the broken glass.

Tap on the pot with the glowing plant. You will be told you need to use tongs.

Now you can travel to the Stronghold (tower). View the box at the top of the scaffolding again to collect some tongs from it. (you cannot do this until you have tried to collect the red-hot petals.

While here you can enter the white tent again and collect a small bottle of alcohol on the table to the right.

Return to the house and use the tongs to collect the volcanic flower petals.

Next you need to return to the greenhouse at the Academy.

Tap to view a wooden crate under the bench on the left.

On the shelf above the crate is a manuscript to collect.

Tap the crate to move it and you will see spaces on top for 2 leaf shapes.

Add the 2 leaves that you have and the box will open. Tap inside to start a puzzle.

Move the blue disks with animals on them to suitable locations to match them with the environments show in the images behind.

Once done the box opens fully.

Tap to view the note on the lid to see that is inside. We need Belladonna seeds.

Collect the bag from the slot number 2

Return to Maaron's Room in the Academy and view the table at the back again.

Open the book in ingredients in your inventory. Then add each of the ingredients that you collected to the book so that it completes all of the green ticks.

This adds an item to your inventory called insecticide ingredients.

Close the book and add this item to the table. Everything will be placed.

First Add the wood pieces to the burner and then tap the bellows to get the fire burning.

Then follow the instructions in the book to make the insecticide.

Now return to the Greenhouse. And view the bench on the left again to see a sprayer.

Add the insecticide to the sprayer. Then collect it.

Use this on the tree and the greenhouse will be restored. The flowers will talk again and you will be able to collect the portal fruit.

Morphing Object: There is a changing plant in a pot near the center of the scene below the branch that had the portal fruit.

Now we need to collect the remaining items so that we can journey to the Darkwoods.

In the greenhouse you will now see a grate on the floor. Tap to view this and try to move it. You cannot yet but you need to try first.

Move to the entrance hall of the Academy and view the box on the right of the scene where you previously pried open a cover.

Collect the crowbar from the ground. Then return to the greenhouse.

View the grate again and then use the crowbar to open it.

Collect a Pommel from below.

Next tap to view a small green bush in the center of the scene by the tree root. Then tap to part the branches and find another Pommel.

Back out of the greenhouse to the courtyard and tap to view each of the 2 status to the sides of the doorway.

Add the correct color Pommel to the statues.

Once done a secret compartment opens.

Collect from inside a Bear Emblem and an Archaeologist's Set

Now move through to the strong hold area and again through the door on the left to the lake area with the boat.

View the petrified Troll under the bridge again.

Use the pickaxe on the troll and it will break off a piece of 'Troll stone' to collect.

Now view the Dolmen on top of the far hill and you will see the rune stone.

Add the paper and pencil to this and you will get a Rune drawing.

Now back up to the Stronghold.

View the large skeleton on the ground again and tap the sand around the bottom of the skull to move it way.

Next add the Archaeologist's Set to it and you will then be able to collect a Dragon Tooth.

Now view the stone wheel above the white tent.

Add the Troll stone to the wheel to shape it. Then add the Run drawing to the stone, followed by the Dragon tooth.

Finally add the Portal Fruit to it and the rune will be ready. Collect it.

Travel back to the Lake and you will see a cut scene with Kiana
