Lost Lands 8 - Part 11

This is our walkthrough for Part 11 of Lost Lands 8 Sand Captivity, an mystery puzzle game from Five-BN games. In Part 10 we managed to enter and activate the Ritual Hall and lower the island of Fugo to restore the magic. Now it is time to continue our quest into the Dark woods.

Go to the lake area of the Plains to activate the Dolmen to the Darkwoods.

View the rune stone at the Dolmen and add the Rune that you have to activate it.

You can now travel through.

Collection Item: A horseshoe on a rock on the right of the waterfall on the right.

Morphing Object: Dark / Light area on the tree top left of the scene.

View the purple fire files around the tree stump on the lower left.

Collect a 'Sapphire' (1 of 5) from inside the stump.

At the top right of the scene is a tree in the distance with a small skeleton against it. Tap to view this more closely.

Tap to view the scroll that is by the left hand to read it and then you will collect a drawing.

In the same scene there is a hole in the ground on the top left. Look inside. Collect a sapphire from the top right (2 of 5)

Now back up and tap the small bush in the center of the large pile of rocks.

Then tap the bush again to remove it. there is a passageway into a cave. Go inside.

Collection Item: a boot on the rocks to the right of center.

Morphing Object: a skull a little further to the right above a pile of bones.

Just to the left of the large chest is a pile of treasure, view this.

Then tap to move the items away and find a 'Tobacco of spirits' to collect.

Back out of the cave and now tap the trees just to the left of the rocks to move forward to a new area. A swamp.

Collection Item: a turtle toy on the wood pile to the left.

Morphing object: a scarecrow / tree towards the top left.

Collect a rake from the ground near the center. Then tap the handrail of the broken bridge on the left to collect a plank.

Now tap to view the sunken hut in the distance. You can then use the plank on it to make a small bridge.

View the roof of the hut. Then view the small patch of fungi on the top left.

Collect another sapphire (3 of 5)

Next open the hatch in the roof of the hut and look inside.

Notice the broken bottles of rum.

Now back up to the start of the Darkwoods area and now tap on the trees on the top left (above the fireflies) to move to a different area. A camp.

You can tap view the a hanging cage in the trees, There is a trapped centaur girl that we need to rescue.

On the right are 2 trees with a hammock strung between them. View this.

Use the knife to cut the hammock down and then collect it.

Now tap the clearing in the distance through the center of the camp to view it. Then place the hammock on the ground.

Next use the Rake on the hammock to start a puzzle game.

In this puzzle there are piles of leaves around the grid and you need to use the rake to sweep them to the hammock at the bottom center.

You must place the rake behind a pile of leaves to move it forward. All piles of leaves that the rake is next to will be pushed away from the rake if there is a free space for them to move to.

Be careful not to get a pile trapped in a corner

Solution: the video below will help if you are stuck.

Once done you will collect a Pile of leaves. Place the pie of leaves in the ground underneath the cage.

Now view the rock on the ground that the rope holding the cage is tied to.

Use the knife on the rope and the cage will fall.

The centaur girl is free but runs away. Tap to view the broken cage.

Collect a sapphire (4 of 5) You will also activate another task

Find the Search Lantern

Now look inside the large tent on the left.

View the table at the back

Open the book on the table to see a recipe for a Sleep Bomb. Then close it to find another sapphire on the table (5 of 5).

Now back up tot he first area of the Darkwoods and reenter the cave. View the large chest at the top of the rocks.

View the stone tablet on top and then place the drawing on the left, you can view this for a clue.

Add the 5 sapphires to the missing holes in the stone to start the puzzle.

You can tap the sapphires to light them up. Copy the pattern of blue lights from the drawing.

Once done you can tap the chest again to open it.

Inside is the Lantern that we need, but when you try to take it, there is a cut scene where the Manticore chases you from the cave.

We need to use a sleep bomb to put it to sleep.
