Pyroxene Farming Guide

Last Updated:
Blue Archive is a military strategy RPG that takes place in the academy city of Kivotos where players take the role of an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club (Schale) and will be tasked in resolving a myriad of incidents that happen within the academy city. Like any gacha game, you’ll need some sort of premium currency to pull for new characters and avail certain services and unlockables. In our Pyroxene Farming Guide, we will quickly discuss how to farm for Pyroxene, Blue Archive’s premium currency.

Let’s start off with a reminder. Like any other premium currency, the easiest way to obtain them is through in-game purchases. That said, it’s the user’s financial responsibility to mind their expenses, especially for gacha games. We also like to remind you to avoid the temptation of getting “free” premium currency, especially from third-party websites that will require your log-in information. Doing this will put you at great risk of getting your credentials stolen and your account hacked. Only collect premium currency from redeem codes provided by the developers through their official social media channels. Naturally, any premium currency given out by the developers are automatically sent to your in-game mail.

Additionally, we will only discuss the various legitimate ways of farming pyroxene in-game. It’s possible to remain as a pure F2P player and secure several 3-star characters, depending on your luck and planning. Please refer to our Recruitment guide for more information.

Pyroxene is Blue Archive’s premium currency. It’s primarily used in Recruitment but it can also be used in other in-game services like AP recovery, purchasing extra Bounty tickets, and Lesson Tickets. Since the game’s launch, the developers have been quite generous in providing free pyroxenes through redeem codes and direct-to-mail login rewards. Of course, there are farmable sources that you can earn by simply playing the game regularly. Please refer to the table below for more information.

After major updates or downtimes, developers might sometimes give pyroxenes for free. These are delivered straight to your in-game mailbox.

As you can see above, there’s a lot of in-game sources of pyroxenes. While some are finite sources, you should be able to earn enough to make several recruitment pulls for characters. If you really want to make sure, you can save up to 24000 pyroxenes to afford the “pity” rate of 200 pulls to guarantee a chance to pick the current featured character. Unfortunately, this pity counter (Recruitment Points) does not carry over to the next banners so you’ll need to be able to afford the 200 pulls in the current banner in order to activate the pity system.

All in all, this all depends on your luck, patience, and dedication to the game. It’s fair to go for a 10-pull as soon as you have 1200 pyroxenes. Take note that all characters in the game are viable; it’s just that the low-tier ones need more attention and resources to see their full potential. You’ll get the most out of your pyroxene earnings by playing regularly.
