Blue Archive is a military strategy RPG that takes place in the academy city of Kivotos where players take the role of an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club (Schale) and will be tasked in resolving a myriad of incidents that happen within the academy city. As the advisor, you’ll have access to different facilities that can help improve your students’ affinity with you. In our Cafe guide, we will discuss how this facility works and how you can take advantage of it.

Most gacha games have a feature or facility where you can earn resources passively. Blue Archive is no different. In the game, you’ll have access to the facility called the Cafe. This is a facility where you can earn energy and credits over time.

Cafe Earnings

The facility can only hold a fixed amount of energy (AP) and credits and once it reaches 100% capacity, it will stop generating the aforementioned resources. You can tap on the Cafe Earnings button in the bottom-right corner of the screen to see your earnings per hour and max capacity. You can increase the hourly earnings and max capacity by increasing the Comfort Level of your Cafe (read more below)

Student Visitation

Different random students will visit and hang out in your cafe, including students that you haven’t recruited yet. A new set of visiting students will come to your cafe after a set period of time.

Similar to Lessons, you can interact with students that you’ve recruited while in the cafe to get Relationship Points. Once they’ve accumulated enough points, their Relationship Level will also increase, providing them with a permanent stat boost.

Student Invitation

On top of the random students that will visit your cafe, you can also send an Invitation to any student that you’ve recruited. This invitation has a cooldown timer as well. Once the timer’s up, you can send another invitation. This is a great way to further speed up building your relationship with a favorite student.

Giving Gifts to Students

You can also give gifts to students while hanging out in the Cafe. Tap the Gifts button in the lower-left corner to see all available gifts in your inventory. From there, you can just tap and hold and try to drag it out. As you do this, smiley icons will appear above the heads of the students in the cafe. These icons will determine the amount of relationship points that will be boosted by the gift. A normal smiley icon will just give a normal amount of RP while a smiley with a wide grin signifies a larger amount of RP to be boosted on the recipient.

Comfort Level

Another feature of the Cafe that you should be familiar with is the Comfort Level. This is directly influenced by the furniture you’ve installed in the facility. You can get new furniture directly from Crafting. It’s highly recommended to add more furniture whenever available. The way you’ll arrange your furniture has no direct bearing towards the overall comfort but it still matters to arrange them properly so you can maximize the number of furniture you can install at the same time.

Cafe Guide

However, your Cafe Rank will still directly affect the maximum Comfort level so even if you manage to install a lot of furniture, your Comfort Level will still be capped according to your Cafe Rank settings. Your Comfort Level will be displayed in the lower-right corner of the screen, right beside Cafe Earnings. By tapping that button, you’ll see your max comfort level and your current cafe rank. By tapping the Furniture tab, you’ll see the breakdown of all individual furniture installed in your cafe.

Cafe Rank

As mentioned above, your Cafe Rank will directly affect your Comfort Level which in turn will affect your passive AP and credit earnings. The cafe rank also increases the number of students that can visit your cafe. You should be able to increase your Cafe rank fairly early in the game. However, to increase your cafe rank from LV3 onwards, you’ll need to spend credits and materials like the Cafe Facilities Core - a material that you can possibly get by farming Missions 6-5 and 9-5.

Cafe Guide

As you can see, the Cafe has significant benefits so it’s a good idea to regularly check this facility daily whenever you play the game. It’s also recommended to keep inviting your favorite student to speed up their relationship progress with you.
