More Blue Archive

Last Updated:

Blue Archive is a military strategy RPG that takes place in the academy city of Kivotos where players take the role of an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club (Schale) and will be tasked in resolving a myriad of incidents that happen within the academy city. Aside from the standard story campaign and Mission stages, there are also other battle modes available in Blue Archive. In our Commissions guide, we will cover how this mode works and what rewards you can obtain from them.

What are Commissions

There are two types of Commissions: Base Defense and Item Retrieval. The former allows you to collect Activity Reports (student level up materials) while the latter allows you to collect Credit Points. Unlike bounties, there are no Academy Buffs in place in this mode so you’ll have to rely on your Damage Type and terrain bonuses to get the most out of your potential damage output.

Commissions

You don’t need tickets to take on commissions since each run will only consume AP like other ordinary missions. Furthermore, if you’ve managed to clear a stage with a 3-star rating, you can use the Sweep feature to instantly clear several runs by spending the corresponding amount of AP. Take note that the team formations for each Commission will be saved for their respective missions so you don’t have to manually change your team members for every deployment.

Base Defense Info

As mentioned above, you’ll collect Activity Reports for clearing Base Defense stages. There’s a total of 8 stages and the quality of the report you’ll get will increase as you move through the later levels. This location’s terrain is Indoors and you’ll be fighting small robots with Heavy defense. As such, use Piercing attacks to deal with them quickly. If you don’t have enough students who can deal piercing damage, at least bring those who can deal normal and explosive damage while also taking advantage of the terrain bonuses.

Item Retrieval Info

A lot of credits are waiting for you in this mission. The terrain is urban while the enemy has a Special-type defense. Make sure to bring students who can deal Mystic (blue) damage to take advantage of the boss’ defense type. If you don’t have enough students that can deal mystic damage, at least bring those who can deal Normal and Piercing damage to at least deal the default amount of damage.

Commissions

Commissions can be tackled on an “as needed” basis. You’ll most likely need to do some Base Defense runs more regularly since you’ll need a lot of Student EXP items to keep their levels up. Regardless, these game modes are available whenever you need them.
