Hero Rebirth
Tales of Grimm Guide
Tales of Grimm is an idle RPG where you play as the Dreamer, and lead an army of creatures, heroes, and other entities as you help the natives of the fairy tale land of Oz. As you summon more heroes, it is likely that you’ll eventually change your active party members. Since building or training heroes takes a lot of time and resources, it seems to be daunting to start from scratch and build a LV1 hero until they’re strong enough to join your current pary. In our Hero Rebirth Guide, we will quickly discuss how to use this feature to revert built heroes and recover the resources used to boost them up.
Summoning heroes is an integral part of the game. Since the game has a gacha system, the heroes that you’ll get will entirely depend on your luck. There’s a high chance that you’ll have to make do with what you have; even using any 5-star hero you obtain early on. However, as you play the game and gain access to better 5-star heroes or getting the heroes you really want, you’ll eventually replace the members of your party and level them up as well.
Thankfully, the game has a feature that allows you to downgrade upgraded heroes and have the spent boost materials refunded in full so you can re-allocate them without farming and saving up for those resources again. Under the Rebirth tab in the Magic Tower screen, you’ll have three further options: Rebirth, Rollback, and Remake. All three have similarities but there are specific differences between them.
Rebirth
This process allows you to reset a hero back to level 1 and return all boost materials used on him/her. This is only used on characters that are not yet starred up but were leveled up instead. Pay the required amount of diamonds to complete the process and get back the gold, hero XP, and promotion stones.Rollback
If you ever change your mind and would like to revert a 7*, 8*, or 9* hero, you can perform a Rollback to get back the boost materials used for upgrading them. Rolled back heroes will be reverted to 6*. Since you can’t roll back 6* heroes, you can further downgrade them by using the Rebirth function (see above). Rolling back a hero will refund the gold, hero XP, and promotion stones. However, you won’t be able to get back the heroes you’ve used as fodder. Instead, you’ll receive a Mirror Soul that matches the element of the heroes used as material before.Remake
Remake is the end-game process of rolling back 10-star to 15-star heroes to become 9-star heroes. All used upgrade materials will be refunded fully. To remake a hero, you’ll need Remake Crystals. These are rare consumables that can be obtained from Adventure Stage 9-40 or through new hero events.Use these features to build your ideal team without getting stressed over farming fresh resources every time you change your roster.
