Tales of Grimm is an idle RPG developed by TAPPLUS featuring a dark take on well-known fairy tale characters. Play as the Dreamer, and lead an army of creatures, heroes, and other entities as you help the natives of the fantastical land of Oz. In our Tales of Grimm Tier List, we’ll discuss some of the best characters to have in the game.

Disclaimer

Please be reminded that Tier Lists are not “definite” measures of the character’s strength and potential. There are a lot of factors to be considered like the characters’ availability, their synergy with your team, their utility, equipment, etc. As such, please use our tier lists as what they’re meant to be - a guide. Use tier lists to help you decide whether you’ll want to invest resources and time to build a character. At the end of the day, it’s you who will decide which ones you’ll use based on preference and performance .

------------------------------

Warriors are the physical damage-dealers in the game. They’re not as sturdy as guardians but they can take decent hits as frontline units (the formation of the party also affects their effectiveness) while also having access to powerful offensive abilities and attacks.

Top Tier Characters Overview

We have decided to list down the characters that belong to the S and A rank. We have considered their overall usefulness and the value they can add to your party. If you don’t see your favorite character in our list, that doesn’t mean that the character is bad or not worth getting. In the end, it’s a gacha game and you’ll have to make do with what you have or follow your preferred party/ character preference.

Top Tier Warriors Descriptions

Prince Charm

Prince Charm’s a powerhouse warrior unit who will fit right in in a large variety of team comps. To start off, his ult can hit a single target multiple times while also boosting his crit rate. At higher skill levels, this ult can also inflict [DMG Amplification] to the target, which will increase the damage taken of the inflicted target. He also has a passive that allows him to perform a joint attack whenever an ally Hero attacks. This can be triggered twice during a teammate’s turn.

Another passive skill allows him to earn King’s Light stacks when performing a normal or attack skill. Once maxed out, this stack will blow, dealing physical damage to all enemies. At higher levels, this skill can even inflict [Electric Shock] which deals damage over time.

Finally, his last passive gets triggered when his HP drops below 50% where all debuffs and control effects are removed. Whenever he’s hit, his DMG Relief increases by 5%. The best thing is that this effect cannot be dispelled and will last until the end of the battle.

Red Queen

Next, the Red Queen utilizes the power of fire to inflict [Burning] status (damage over time for 2 rounds, stackable) while also capable of shredding enemies with her high crit physical attacks. Her Blade Flurry skill deals damage to front and mid row enemies with a chance to burn them. This skill deals extra damage to enemy Guardians.

Her Warmonger passive increases her HP, ATK, and SPD but at LV2 and LV3, this passive gives her a chance to inflict [Burning] status to her attackers. Her other passive (Weakness) increases her damage against enemies with [Burning] and [Flaming], while also increasing her chance to inflict [Burning].

Finally, her ULT allows her to pick off an enemy unit with the lowest HP, dealing guaranteed critical hit and increased crit damage if the target is inflicted with [Burning] and [Flaming]. At skill LV3, this ULT also heals herself equals to half of the damage dealt.

Wukong

Wukong is a berserker humanoid monkey that can deal high damage and even inflict [Curse] (Take damage equal to 30% of Wukong’s ATK after 2 turns, stackable). His ULT deals high physical damage to a single target. If the target is defeated, he attacks again with half of the original ATK and even heals himself with a portion of the damage dealt.

His Overkill passive makes him a reliable unit to pick off severely injured targets, dealing increased DMG to enemy units with low HP and those inflicted with [Curse].

Yuri Schnee

Yuri Schnee's main attack allows her to deal damage to two random enemies in the middle or back row positions. She also gets healed by a portion of the DMG this attack deals. Her ULT targets the enemy with the lowest HP, dealing severe damage to it. If the target is [Frozen], this attack’s Crit Rate is also increased by 10%. At skill LV2 and LV3, she can trigger a follow-up attack (albeit at a lower damage) if this attack defeats the target.

Finally, she has a passive that gives her a chance to automatically dispel all non-control debuffs inflicted on her. At skill LV3, this passive will also give her a massive 20% Crit Rate bonus. This makes her a formidable mid/back row assassin, capable of picking off softer enemy units and bypassing guardians.

Dark Queen

The Dark Queen’s normal attack damages all enemies and has a high chance of inflicting [Death Mark]. This debuff lowers the Physical DMG relief of the target by 20% for 2 rounds. Her ULT allows her to target an enemy in the back row, dealing damage 2 times, that also calculate’s the target’s lost HP. Furthermore, this attack also deals additional damage to [Cursed] units. At skill LV2 and LV3, her ULT’s 2nd slash can even instantly defeat a target with HP less than 20%, that also ignores shields, DEF, and DMG Share.

Her passive, Mirror Curse, increases the chances of inflicting [Death Mark] to enemies with every atack. At skill LV2 and LV3, this passive heals all allies based on the Dark Queen’s ATK value. Since her attacks gain extra damage, adding another hero that can consistently apply the [Cursed] status will synchronize with her kit very well.

Blade Gina

Blade Gina is a potent assassin that prioritizes enemy Support heroes. Her Shadow Strike deals damage while also ignoring a portion of the target’s DEF. The attack deals extra damage if the target’s ATK stat is lower than Blade Gina’s. Her ULT attacks mid and back row enemies directly, which also deals extra damage against Support units (who are usually hanging around in the mid or back rows).

Finally, Blade Gina’s passive can boost 5% of her ATK after each action. This can be stacked up to 4/6/8 at skill LV1, LV2, and LV3 respectively. Furthermore, this buff can’t be dispelled as well, giving Blade Gina all the time needed to boost her ATK due to this passive’s effect.
