Tales of Grimm is an idle RPG developed by TAPPLUS featuring a dark take on well-known fairy tale characters. Play as the Dreamer, and lead an army of creatures, heroes, and other entities as you help the natives of the fantastical land of Oz. In our Tales of Grimm Tier List, we’ll discuss some of the best characters to have in the game.

Disclaimer

Please be reminded that Tier Lists are not “definite” measures of the character’s strength and potential. There are a lot of factors to be considered like the characters’ availability, their synergy with your team, their utility, equipment, etc. As such, please use our tier lists as what they’re meant to be - a guide. Use tier lists to help you decide whether you’ll want to invest resources and time to build a character. At the end of the day, it’s you who will decide which ones you’ll use based on preference and performance .

------------------------------

Support units are the lifeline of any party. Their presence is crucial to the party’s survival so they’re ideally positioned in the back row, away from most enemy attacks. A great support unit will make your team even more effective by letting your damage dealers do their jobs. Support units work well with Guardians because of their mutual need for each other.

Top Tier Characters Overview

We have decided to list down the characters that belong to the S and A rank. We have considered their overall usefulness and the value they can add to your party. If you don’t see your favorite character in our list, that doesn’t mean that the character is bad or not worth getting. In the end, it’s a gacha game and you’ll have to make do with what you have or follow your preferred party/ character preference.

Top Tier Support Descriptions

Miss Conch

Miss Conch is easily a top-tier support thanks to her consistent healing, overheal shields, and capability to apply [Freezing]. With her in the party, her allied units will be almost immortal. Her ULT (Magic Burst) deals damage to the enemy with the highest SPD with a chance to inflict [Freezing] and granting [Block Shield] to an ally with the lowest HP. [Block Shield] protects an ally from one damage source that lasts 2 rounds.

Her passive (Miracle Conch) heals an ally with the lowest HP at the beginning of each round with a chance to increase their damage relief for 1 round. Her Magic Bubble restores the HP of all allies while converting the amount of overhealed HP into a [Healing Shield] for 2 rounds. This skill gets even better as the skill level goes up, adding [Healing over Time] for 2 rounds at skill LV2, and an 25% ATK boost for all allies at skill LV3.

Maid Sophie

Maid Sophie is another top-tier support unit that provides various buffs, consistent healing, and access to a revival skill for her allies. Her Maid Dance skill heals all allies and grants them the [Starlight] effect. (DMG Relief and Incoming Healing boost for 2 rounds) Additionally, the ally with the highest ATK will also get a Crit Rate bonus for that round. At skill LV3, Sophie’s healing effect is boosted until the end of battle if an ally with [Starlight] effect gets defeated.

Her other active skill, Maid Dessert, allows her to revive a defeated ally and heals it. If all allies are alive, this skill heals an ally with the lowest HP instead. At skill LV2 and LV3, the healed (alive) unit will also gain a Crit Resist buff for 2 rounds. Finally, her passive enables her normal attacks to heal an ally with the lowest HP.

Mad Granny

Mad Granny may not look appealing but she can bring valuable support on the table. Her “Doping” skill heals all allies and increases their ATK. This ATK buff is further increased based on the number of Dark (element) heroes in the same party. At skill LV3, this skill also provides a Crit Rate buff that also scales off the number of allied dark heroes.

Mad Granny’s “Dark Potion is a powerful skill that deals magic damage to all enemies as well as inflicting a [Healing Ban] on a single target in front of her. (This effect prevents enemies from healing themselves in 2 rounds) Additionally, one of the three effects is randomly triggered:

* [Exhaustion] - Reduces ATK and DEF (applied to 1 random enemy in front and mid rows)

* [Healing Decrease] - Reduces amount of HP healed (applied to 2 random enemies in the mid and back rows)

* [Disorder] - Reduces Hit Rate and DEF (applied to all enemies)

Finally, her passive (Mind Potion) allows her to dispel a non-control debuff on 3 random allies after each action she takes. At skill LV3, this skill covers all allies and transfers said debuffs on random enemy units in the back row.

Larissa

Larissa is another support unit that you should keep if ever you get her. She can heal, buff your offensive stats, and even revive fallen units. Her Mermaid Song dispels a debuff from two allies with the highest ATK, heals them, and applies Crit Rate bonus as well.

Her other active skill (Sea Blessing) can revive a fallen ally. If all allies are alive, then she will heal the one with the lowest HP. Additionally, the healed ally will gain additional HP healed over time. Finally, her passive (Tidal Echo)boosts her healing ability. The skill also increases the ATK of 2 allies with the highest ATK.

Nesy

Nesy’s active skill (Nature Hymn) replenishes the HP of all allies while having a chance to increase the DEF or her allies. Skill LV2 and LV3 provides the Crit Resist on top of the DEF buff.

Nesy’s ULT (Fairy Tune) deals damage to 3 random enemies in the mid or back row and heals an ally with the lowest HP. At skill LV2, this ult also boosts the ATK of two allies with the highest ATK stat. At skill LV3, the ult will boost both ATK and SPD of the two allied units.
