Crystal Lake Guide

Tales of Grimm is an idle RPG where you play as the Dreamer, and lead an army of creatures, heroes, and other entities as you help the natives of the fairy tale land of Oz. Most mobile games have a passive income system that allows players to earn resources even when they’re not actively playing the game. In our Crystal Lake Guide, we will discuss how this feature functions in the game and how you can take advantage of it.

Overview

As mentioned above, the Crystal Lake is a feature in the game that allows players to earn resources passively. This is unlocked fairly early in the game and collecting resources from it should be part of your daily tasks in the game, to make the most out of it. You can find the Crystal Lake in the bottom-right corner of the home screen, just under the relic shop.

The lake has 5 resource nodes as listed below:

Resources are automatically produced and stored until manually collected. If the resource node hits the storage limit, the production is automatically paused until the resources are collected. To manually get the resources from the lake, just tap “Collect” to add the resources to your inventory.

The Crystal Lake also has a Quick Claim feature which will allow players to gather resources equal to a certain amount of time. For example, you can instantly collect the amount of resources that will be collected during a 12-hour period. The first Quick-Collect attempt per day is free; additional attempts can be redeemed by spending Diamonds. The higher the player’s VIP Level, the more Quick-Collect attempts can be purchased.

Improving the Crystal Lake

The crystal lake can be further upgraded to increase the production rate and storage limit of the lake’s resource nodes. This can be done by reaching the required (Combat) Power milestones and defeating the Node Guardians. These guardians are fixed enemies that you have to overpower to level up the Crystal Lake nodes.

Additionally, you can further increase the resource nodes’ output by assigning heroes. The magnitude of the output bonus will depend on the total power of the assigned heroes. Each resource node can also accommodate 1 hero from other players. That helping hero’s power cannot exceed 120% of your strongest hero.

Assist Friends

You can assist friends to speed up their production timer by 5 minutes. Doing so will award you with gold. You can assist up to 10 friends daily, and you can receive assistance from 10 different friends per day. You can instantly help your friends by tapping the “My Friends” button then tapping “Auto Help”.

Relic Bonus

Once you have unlocked the Relic system, you can improve the “Magic Aura” skill. This passive skill can be awakened by collecting all three associated relics (Witch Cane, Magic Gloves, Witch Gem) and increasing their individual ranks. As you rank up the relics, the relic skill will rank up as well, boosting the corresponding resource nodes.
