Gear Fusion Guide

Darkness Rises is a dark fantasy action RPG that brings players in a world threatened by a massive demonic invasion. Players take control of legendary heroes to decimate the demonic forces in a smooth, fast-paced, action-packed combat. Skills and stats aside, weapons and equipment are also an important factor that players should always keep updated and upgraded. In our Gear Fusion guide, we will discuss the basics of fusing your equipment to get higher rarity versions, further increasing your character’s power.

Normal Fusion

Gear Fusion allows you to combine two pieces of items of the same grade and type to get a random higher grade version, with improved base stats and random traits. To do this, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

1. Items should be on the same grade.

2. Both items that will be fused should be maxed enhanced.

3. Both items must belong the same category (Weapon+Weapon, Armor+Armor, Accessory+Accessory)

You can fuse non-identical items, as long as they’re the same type/category and same grade. The result is always randomized. However, when it comes to armor and accessories, you have to be careful of the result. Since there’s lot of types of armor and accessories, the main gear’s type will be the result of the fusion.

For example: Robe (main) + cape (material) = Random robe (result)

Fusion will always result successfully. However, there are two types of possible successful results:

* (Normal) Success: Normal gear with a higher grade

* Great Success: Rare gear with a higher grade

The rarity of the gears obtained as result of fusion can’t be lower than the materials used. For example, fusing an B+ with a B++ gear will possibly result in a A+ or B++ gear. You can’t get Rank ++ accessories through fusion.

To do a normal fusion, follow these steps:

1. Open the Blacksmith > Fuse Gear option in the main menu or tap the gear you want to fuse and select the option there. The option for fusion will only appear for eligible equipment that’s fully enhanced.

2. Select the main gear you want to fuse

3. Select the material gear

4. Before confirming, you can review the stat increase, level cap, and transcend count before confirming.

5. Press the Fuse button in the lower-left corner of the screen to pay the required amount of gold and to complete the process.

Rank S Fusion

Fusing Rank S equipment follows the similar process but will have a bit different set of requirements. This process allows you to fuse Rank S equipment to get a S+ or S++. Unlike normal fusion, Rank S fusion attempts may fail. If that happens, the material gear used is destroyed and gold used is lost. However, equipped jewels will still be returned to your inventory.

To fuse Rank S gear, you have to meet the following requirements:

* Only Rank S+ (max enhanced) or below can be fused or used as material.

* Only gears of the same type can be fused. (Helmet + Helmet, Necklace + Necklace, Earring + Earring, etc)

The resulting gear will start at LV1 and the material gear selected will be consumed as fodder. Fusing gears with "+" has a higher probability of obtaining a "++" gear. The rarity of the gear will affect the chance of success. The refinement level of the gears used will not affect the success rate.

There are three possible results for Rank S Fusion, as follows:

As you reach the end-game stage, having S++ gears is practically a requirement in order to keep up with the required power levels of the higher-tier stages and challenges. This is also a minimum requirement if you’re planning to have a bit of a chance at ranked PvP matches. In the end of course, unless you’re spending a lot of time and money in the game collecting top-tier equipment, your S++ gear can only get you so far. Nevertheless, it’s always recommended to keep your gear upgraded and secure the best possible S++ gears you can get through fusion if possible.
