Added:
Darkness Rises is a dark fantasy action RPG that brings players in a world threatened by a massive demonic invasion. Players take control of legendary heroes to decimate the demonic forces in a smooth, fast-paced, action-packed combat. As your character grows stronger, so are the challenges he/she has to face in the end-game content. In our Costume Jewels guide, we will discuss how to use Jewels and embed them to your costumes, further increasing your character’s power.

Similar to normal gear, you can also embed jewels to your costumes. Costume Jewels are divided into three categories: weapon costume, armor costume, and costume decos. However, you can’t embed normal jewels that you use in gears. You’ll specifically need costume jewels. Furthermore, you still need to unlock the jewel slots on the costumes which will cost additional resources. We will cover those processes on this page.

Similar to other improvement actions on gears, there are also two methods of accessing the windows needed to improve your costumes:
1. Access the Gears window, select the costume tab, then select the option there.
2. Open your main menu > Gear Development > Boutique > select the option for the costume improvement feature you want.

Embed Jewels

As mentioned above, you’ll need to unlock jewel slots on costumes before you can embed new jewels on them. Each costume has a “locked” jewel slot that will appear as a white dot on the left side of the costume’s portrait. Select the costume and if you have the required materials, pay the required amount of jewels to unlock a slot. If you don’t see a high-rank costume on the list, that means that all of its slots have been unlocked.

The costume’s grade will affect the number of slots you can unlock on it. For example, B-grade costumes have one jewel slot while A-grade costumes have 2 slots. Unlocking slots doesn’t provide any power boost; only when you insert jewels on the costumes will you see stat boosts.

The materials needed for the unlocking costume slots are the following:
Material
Source(s)
Fabric
Disassemble Costume, Guild Raid
Rainbow Dye
Disassemble Costume, Guild Raid
Starlight Needle
Disassemble Costume, Guild Raid
Arcane Scissors
Disassemble Costume, Guild Raid
Moonlight Skein
Disassemble Costume, Guild Raid

Fuse Costume Jewels

Similar to ordinary gear jewels that you can fuse to increase their grades/ranks, you can do the same to Costume Jewels. As long as the jewels that you’ll fuse are of the same type, their grades won’t matter.

The quality of the fodder jewels will affect the Fusion gauge in the lower-left corner. Thankfully, the game will not allow you to continue with the fusion if the gauge is not full. The amount and quality of the fodder will also increase as you try to fuse higher rank jewels. For example, normal (unranked) jewels will require 3 other jewels of the same rank to become a Rank D jewel. Rank D jewels will need approximately 3 Rank D and 3 normal jewels to get fused to Rank C.

The fusion result can also come in two varieties: Success! or Great Success! The former produces the expected higher grade while the latter produces a costume jewel with higher grade and rarity.

Main C. Jewel Rarity
Possible Resulting Rarity
Normal
Normal / Excellent (+) / Flawless (++)
Excellent (+)
Excellent (+) / Flawless (++)
Flawless (++)
Flawless (++)

Costume Jewel Embedding and Fusion are very beneficial processes that you should always do whenever you have costume jewels to spare. This is especially important since costumes can be hard to come by unless you’re pulling regularly from the chests.
