Yes, and the mode is called "Tactical Challenge". If you’re not a fan of PvP, this mode is completely optional. Competitive players on the other hand should be prepared to encounter players with teams composed of top-tier characters. These players have serious time and investment behind them.
Nevertheless, the rewards are still worth it so you can try participating even if you're just a casual player.
