Episode 5 Walkthrough - Ancient Coast - Part 2

This is the second part of our guide to Ancient Coast, the fifth Episode in the puzzle adventure game from Five BN. In this episode you are exploring an island in the Aegean Sea to retrieve the Soul of Kate from the Underworld.

This is part 2 of the walkthrough for Episode 5, In part 1 we have reached the Underworld but need to make a potion to put Cerberus to sleep so we can continue.

Episode Five - Ancient Coast Walkthrough - Part Two

Return to the garden and view the scarecrow again. Then look on the ground of the field it is standing in to see the plants.

Use the trowel here to dig and collect a Valerian Root.

Then back up to the landing area on the island and you can look into a crevice in the rock to the left of the stone bridge.

Use the pincers here to collect a Detail and then also use them to collect a Melissa plant.

Back up again to the Dock across the sea and view a basket on the right, Collect from here a Fish.

Coin: tap to light a gold colored brick from the ground on the left of the basket to find the coin under it.

Then back up once more to the starting area and view under the awning on the top right to see the broken box. Collect a Chamomile plant from the top left.

Now you can view the recipe in your inventory and add the four items to it. This will let you collect the Ingredients.

Return to the small temple building in the underworld with the Skulls altar. View the pot on the small table in the center. Use the Torch here to light the fire under it to heat the water.

Then add the ingredients to the pot. You can collect the Sedating Fish.

Go to the Courtyard and give the fish to Cerberus. It will call asleep.

Hourglass: By the foot of the large statue on the left.

View the Dog and you can collect a Key from its collar.

Next view the large doors at the end of the courtyard to the left.

Use the key here to open and discover a puzzle.

Courtyard Seals Puzzle

• The board has ten demon headed seals spread around.
• There are two holes on the board that you need to move the seals into.
• To move the seals tap an empty square on the board and any seals that are next to it will be pushed away by one square. But only if they are not blocked by something.
• Move the seals one at a time being careful not to block them into corners where they are stuck.
• You can reset the puzzle at any time.

Once done the doors open. Go though to a throne room.

Talk to Hades on the throne to find out that you need to find an astronomical clock that was given to Hephaestus.

Morphing Object: Changing flame pattern on the wall to the left of the throne area steps.

Collection Item: Lightning Bolt, seen on the low wall to the right of the throne area steps.

Use the Hook on the chandelier hanging from the ceiling to pull it down. Collect from it a Skull.

Now return to the small temple building with the skull altar. There is an open slot on the front.

Place the skull here and it will reveal another puzzle.

Deadly Sins Puzzle

• Around the outside are cards for seven deadly sins and also a card for Hades.
• In the inner circle are 8 tokens with symbols on them.
• Use the center button to rotate the center pathways around to connect together pairs of symbols. You can then swap their positions.
• Arrange all of the symbols so that they are next to the card they are associated with.

Now you can collect a Spear and a Dagger.

Go back to the River Styx scene and use the spear on the grate in the ground to open it.

Look inside to collect a Watch detail.

Collection Item: Lightning Bolt drawn on the back wall of the hole.

Return to the Dock again and view the basket with the fish. Use the Dagger on the shells to open them and you will collect a Pearl.

Then travel to the ruins and view a tree on the left of the steps, there is a beehive here with bees. Use the torch on the beehive to get rid of the bees, then you can use the Dagger to cut and collect another Crystal.

Now return to Hades throne room and view the top of the Medusa head on the left. Add the Pearl to it.

Collect a third Crystal and a Part of the Mosaic.

Go back to the small temple building (skulls) and then view the circle mosaic on the back wall to the right of the center table.

Place the part of the mosaic here to open the panel,

Collect a second Watch Detail and also a Bellows.

Now head back to the courtyard with the sleeping Cerberus. View the green gate on the right.

Place the three crystals to open and find a Puzzle.

Mythical creatures puzzle

• You first see a paper with the outlines of 6 mythical creatures. Close this.
• You have a fixed center circle with parts of outlines on it. This can be rotated
• There are also two semi circle section that have more parts of the outlines that can be slid to the left and right.
• By turning the center and moving the semi circles you will be able to match them up and make one complete outline of a creature at a time.
• As you match them they will be ticked off on the paper, until you have found them all.
• The images you need to find may be different.

Once done the gate opens and you can go through to the Well of Souls.

You will see the soul of Kate in the well.

Morphing Object: a statue by the sets of steps in the top center.

Hourglass: tap on the balcony platform at the top of the steps on the left building to find it.

View an alcove / cave on the top right. You will need to place the Shield down to let you cross over the gap to it.

Collect a Mirror. There is also a box here but we cannot open it yet.

Collection Item. Trident just behind the box top left.

View the small arch at the top oft he steps in the top center. There is a large bell. Collect a Mold from the left side.

Now you need to travel back to the archive room with the forge. View the bottom of the forge and place the bellow here, use them to stoke the fire.

Then view the top of the forge, place the mold down and then place the Silver into the crucible.

The molten silver will be poured into the mold. Use the hammer in this to break the mold open and collect the silver Sandal.

Return to the landing area of the island. View the entrance to the temple on the right. and then look at the engraving of Achilles on the back wall.

Place the Silver Sandal on to his foot and the wall will open to reveal a puzzle.

Achilles Puzzle

This puzzle can earn you an extra star if you complete it within the set number of moves.

• The image on the circle is jumbled up.
• There are segments that are part of small circles on the image, you can tap these to rotate the circles and move the segments around.
• Complete the picture to solve the puzzle

Once done collect a Spider and another Watch detail.

Now return to the courtyard. On the lower left is a small pedestal with a frame on top. Place one of the mirrors that you have collected here.

Then there is also another frame line this on a pedestal on the back right near the gates. Place the other mirror here.

This will highlight a round panel on the wall on the top left. View this for a clue.

Now enter the throne room of Hades again and tap to view the throne area.

On the right of the steps is a spider shaped slot, view this and add the Spider to it.

Spider Puzzle

• There are four sets of three balls connected by chains on the circular board.
• Each of the balls on the outer two circles can be tapped to move it between the slots in its quadrant of the circle.
• This will create patterns of lines.
• Move the balls to match a clue seen previously
• This can be different for each game

Once done the other side panel will open and you can collect a Lens and a Lever.

Go back to the Well of souls and view the bell in the arch again. Place the lever on the left side to lift the bell.

Collect a Sapphire and a Button.

Now go back to the throne room and tap on the wall at the far end of the room on the left, to the right of the Medusa head.

Sapphire Puzzle

Place the sapphire on the top right to start the puzzle.

• There is a beam from the top left sapphire.
• You can drag to move the other sapphires on the left and right to redirect the beam across the board.
• Arrange them until the beam reaches the bottom left to complete the puzzle.

Once done you can collect another Watch detail.

Now go back again to the archive room on the shore, on the right is a telescope with several colored lenses.

Add the Lens you have to it to start a puzzle.

Telescope Puzzle

• At the top you will see 3 symbols.
• Tap the colored buttons to activate different colored lenses.
• Some combinations will reveal one of the symbols and a number.
• Continue until you have found the 3 related numbers.

Now back up to the starting area an view the blue door on the right.

Add the button to the lock. Then you can enter the combination by tapping the number buttons to change them.

Use the 3 numbers that you got from the telescope that relate to the 3 symbols above.

Look inside the room and collect a Bas-relief and a Watch detail.

There is an oven here to use later.

Go back to Hades' throne room and view a desk that is to the left of the steps to the Throne.

Add the Bas-relief to the front and then you can collect a Detail.

Coin: move a paper on the floor on the lower right to find it.

Go back to the Well of souls and view the box in the cave again. Use the 3 Details on the front to open it.

Well of souls box puzzle

• There are 2 loops of colored balls.
• You can slide these around the loops and then use the center slide to move 2 balls at a time from one side to the other.
• Arrange them so that all of the red balls are on the left and the blue ones on the right.

Once done collect a final Watch Detail and a Pedal.

Go back to the Archive room and view the clock on the right under the telescope.

Add the 6 watch details to it and Hades' Watch will be released for you to collect.

Return to Hades in the throne room and give him the watch. He will give you some Clay to make an amphora.

Return to the room with the oven in the starting area. Add the Pedal to the potters wheel to the left and then place the clay on top.

Once the Amphora is made tap on the tongs on the right to place the amphora into the oven to be fired.

You can then collect the Amphora.

Return to the Well of Souls and view Kate's soul in the green water. Use the Amphora on it and the soul will be collected inside. You get the Soul Amphora.

Return to the starting area and view Kate on the bed. Place the Amphora here.

Kate will wake up and you will receive the Star for completing the Episode.
