Resources
Empire: Four Kingdoms Guide
1.1 Wood
This is the first resource you will come across this can be obtained by doing various quests, looting, but the primary way to earn this resource is through constructing a Woodcutter building. That gives you some wood every hour. Wood is used in construction, creating tools for castle siege or defense, and sometimes used to fulfill quests and requests of random NPCs that show up around your castle. The abundance of wood can be estimated by the graphic around the castle. A high wood production area has lush forests around it while an area with low wood supply has a lot of chopped trees showing the shortage of wood. The abundance can also be seen on the world map as icons.
1.2 Stone
What would a medieval castle building game be without stone? After all, all castles (good ones) are made out of stone. Just like wood, this resource can be obtained through quests, missions, and looting but primarily gained from establishing a Stone Quarry which gives you some stone every hour. Stone is used in construction, creating tools for castle siege or defense, and sometimes used to fulfill quests and requests of random NPCs that show up around your castle. Similar to trees, the abundance of the resource can be seen in the form of rock formations. The abundance can also be seen on the world map as icons.
1.3 Food
The Food resource is used for feeding your citizens, soldiers and holding feasts to increase your recruitment rate. This is seems to be, among the 3 basic resources, the most important and hard to maintain resource due to just by having citizens and soldiers around, because they need to eat, this resource continuously diminishes at a rate equal to how many your population + the soldiers are. Like the previous resources, this can be obtained from some quests, looting, missions or just having a Farmhouse to produce some food every hour. As with the previous two resources, this resource's abundance is shown by fields around your castle and their content. The abundance can also be seen on the world map as icons.
