The remote in room 3 will not turn on the TV. Why? I can't move on without it.

Be sure you have the remote, not the phone. Then tap on the TV so the game knows you're working with it, and drag the remote from your item list onto the TV. You will see static when the TV first turns on, this is normal. Key the channel number into the remote to clear the static.
