Cloud System
Space Leaper: Cocoon Guide
Space Leaper: Cocoon features a pleasant pixel-art universe with an interesting, furry cast of characters. With a torn universe, it’s up to you to weave the cosmos back! Upgrading your Leapers is an important task that you have to regularly do to ensure that they’re ready for combat and clearing the various in-game content. Thankfully, there’s also a system in place that you can manage to apply improvements to all leapers based on their type and class. In our Cloud System guide, we will briefly discuss this feature and how you can take advantage of it.
As mentioned above, the Cloud System is the game’s upgrade system that applies stat boosts and Resonance improvements to all leapers based on their attribute and class. As a quick summary, the seven Leaper attributes in the game are Flame, Wind, Liquid, Order, Chaos, and Stone. The six classes in the game are Fighter, Tank, Assassin, Hunter, Mage, and Support. Each leaper has an attribute and class. You can identify a leaper’s class and attribute by looking at the colored class icon in the top left corner of their portraits. Additionally, the leaper’s attribute and class can also be examined or tapped by viewing their profile and interacting with the said icons located in the top-right corner of the screen. You can find the Cloud System on the third screen by swiping left.
You can earn points or transmitter data whenever you increase the stage or star of your leapers. The type of transmitter you’ll get will be the same as the attribute and class of the upgraded leaper so you don’t have to worry about accidentally using up the incorrect transmitter data. So for example, if you have improved the Stage of Peru, which is a Flame Mage, then you’ll obtain transmitter data for both the Flame attribute and Mage class. Leaper Stages are not affected when Reducing (or resetting) a leaper back to LV1 so there’s no way to earn extra transmitter data from the same character if you have already improved their stage.
You can only unlock upgrades in a linear progress so you don’t have to worry about missing levels or steps. For each upgrade level, there are two “attribute chips” that need to be fully activated to reach the next level. The amount of transmitter data required increases based on the activated enhancements corresponding to the attribute and/or class.
To maximize your upgrade progression and to earn more transmitter data, don’t hold back in improving the stages of all characters in your roster, even if you don’t use them that much. Since they’re warming the bench anyway, at least they can still contribute to your entire party’s resonance bonuses. At the same time, since upgrading a leaper’s stage requires Leaper Genes, it pays to continue summoning for more leapers to get duplicates (and their corresponding genes), as well as purchasing genes from Peru’s Emporium if you have extra currency to spare.
