Space Leaper: Cocoon Guide

Added:

Space Leaper: Cocoon features a pleasant pixel-art universe with an interesting, furry cast of characters. With a torn universe, it’s up to you to weave the cosmos back! In our Beginner Tips guide, we will provide some helpful information and tips for beginners and new players of the game!

Space Leaper: Cocoon has familiar mechanics and features commonly found in mobile games like gacha, character enhancement, rewarding quests, and more. However, Space Leaper Cocoon’s terminologies or naming conventions might confuse both new and long-term mobile game players. Don’t worry since we’ll tackle those topics in our guide. For now, let’s discuss some beginner-friendly tips to get your bearings early on.

1. Proceed with the Main Campaign

This is a common similarity found in other RPG mobile games. Basically, some features are gated behind your actual progression. This makes sense of course, as it will be a bad idea to let players access the higher-tier content of the game without the proper preparation. The game will guide you through the first few features with mandatory button presses but once you have some sort of freedom, I highly recommend progressing through the main story to unlock more features and facilities.

2. Collect your Passive Income

The game has an auto-battle (auto-survey in this matter) that allows players to continuously earn resources even when they’re not playing the game actively. Don’t forget to claim these free rewards since your temporary resource storage can only hold 12 hours worth of resources. At the same time, continue clearing Survey stages to further improve your idle-resource earnings and storage.

3. Complete your Daily Tasks

Playing the game daily is highly recommended to get the most out of the game. Of course, that also includes clearing the daily tasks to earn even more rewards. These tasks involve repeatable tasks (that get reset as part of the game’s daily scheduled content reset) and one-time reward tasks that are tied up to the main campaign.

4. Focus on Improving your Main Characters

A full combat team is composed of eight characters so focus on upgrading these characters, their equipment, and their other aspects. The game allows you to reset characters back to LV1 while also fully refunding the resources used to improve them. Only their level, grade, and gear will be affected; their Stages will not be reset. This means that you can easily replace placeholder characters as soon as you obtain higher-grade and more powerful characters. Don’t hesitate to build your team early on with placeholder characters as long as they provide great team synergy and allow you tackle challenges early on.

5. Don’t forget to link your account

Account linking or binding allows you to link an account to your game account, making it your own. This will also allow you to play the game on multiple devices like smartphones, tablets, even emulators as long as you can run the game and log in to the bound/linked account.

6. Don’t forget to swipe the screen

The game’s interface is designed to look like a smart device’s screen where you can run apps or in this case, different modes or access features. There are three screens that you can swipe left or right to see, with most of the other stuff located in the third/rightmost screen. This is where you can find other important modes like the Bounty Board (expeditions), Cloud System (resonance upgrades), Neutron Star (PvE boardgame-like mode), Analog Campaign (PvP), and more.

7. Check out ongoing events

Limited, time-gated events usually award players with tons of freebies and rewards. Participate in these events whenever possible to take advantage of what they have to offer. Don’t worry if you can’t clear the events completely; just tackle the stages that’s appropriate to your team’s capability.

That’s all the beginner tips we can provide to get you started in the game. Don’t worry too much about your progression since the game will guide you along the way. The learning curve for the game’s overall gameplay isn’t that steep so you’ll surely grasp the basics in just a few hours of playing. Later on, you’ll need to micromanage your ideal characters or favorite leapers, as well as learn the various resonances and other combat-related information to gain an advantage in battle. We will cover some of these topics in our guide as well so stay tuned!
