1. Consume the game as if it was an art or a novel. There is no time limit here fellow players of Sky. Take your time to explore everything there is to find in each kingdom and try to unlock all the areas that you can. Every kingdom is designed so that you will have to re-visit them once you’ve improved your cape and are able to reach higher places. You’ll be surprised at how much going back-and-forth you’ll be doing in each of the kingdoms. are . You do not have to "finish" the game fast. Relax and enjoy or else you'll miss the beauty of the game.

2. Tap on your character if you lost your way. There really isn’t much complication in the game to ever get you lost in it. However, since it lacks the common “hints of direction” to what you’ve probably been accustomed with your typical RPG, you can simply tap on your avatar to check which direction you should probably check next. A star will point you towards the direction that you should be checking for the concluding point of interest, in order to progress in the game’s lore.

3. Always light the candles you find in the game. Candles, when lit, will earn you the game’s basic currency. Don’t ever get tired of lighting them as they are precious resources that you’ll be needing to purchase the different collectibles from the different ancestor spirits.

4. Making friends is the most important thing to do in the game. To progress or even finish the game, you’ll have to play co-op with other players. That said, there is no better way to advance in the game than having friends. Co-op play is usually required to open special gates in the game (that require a number of players to access them -- some even up to 8 players), and most especially in the last chapter of the game, Eye of Eden, tagging along with a group is a must if you ever want to succeed in finishing the game.

To make friends, you must go towards a player, and then tap on the option to light a candle for them. Similar to upgrading the emotes on spirits, you also have to upgrade your friendship with other players in the game to make them your “Friends”. You can set a nickname for a friend in order to remember them, as you might have noticed that all players in the game do not have a username. Then, if you ever want to get back to them or play co-op with them, simply just go back home and access your friends list from there.

5. When you get past the first two kingdoms (Isle of Dawn and Daylight Prairie), you probably have gained the option to “call” other players (in reality though, it only reveals the location of other players). This way, you can request for assistance whenever you need it, or find other points of interest in the game flocked by other players.

6. Special light streaks and flares typically hint at areas where you should check in the game. Usually, exploring these areas will reveal an ancestor, or a winged light. Most of the time, they are accessed through flying, unlocking of special barriers, or even finding hidden areas. If you can’t access the place for some hindering reason like its elevation or a barrier, make sure to take note of it, and try to revisit the place once you’ve improved your cape, or met with a number of other spirits -- which would usually unlock spirit gates. To revisit a place (kingdom) in the game, simply go click the setting button, and pick the “Home” option -- which houses the different portals to the different kingdoms that you’ve unlocked in the game.

7. Try not to get soaked in the rain or any water in the game. Getting wet in the game is equivalent to losing your light. When this happen, you'll see that you avatar losses its glowing light. Be cautious and always check on your gauge when this happens, as you will get penalized for staying too long out in the rain or in bodies of water in the game. The penalty is losing some of your winged light and you will see it like a dropped item -- which gives you a few seconds time to recover it. You will know that you've permanently lost it if you hear a slashing sound in the background. A lost winged light can be recovered again, but its re-spawn location will be random (which sucks). A similar effect happens when you get attacked by some creatures in the game like crabs and the krill (dark dragons).

8. Elder Ancestor Hair Styles -- try your best to acquire all of the things that each ancestor offers (all of the emote upgrades, blessing, cosmetic items, etc.) before you take the Eye of Eden chapter. Once you’ve done this, you’ll get the chance to unlock the final star (for every group of ancestors that make up a constellation) in the constellation table in Eden. This will enable you to purchase an “Ultimate Gift”. Ultimate Gifts are collection special cosmetic items (spirit ancestor elder’s hair styles) that are highly sought after by a lot of players in the game.

9. Complete Daily Quests - completing the daily quest will not only earn you extra candle resource in the game, it will also avail you the chance to earn a rare/seasonal cosmetic item in the game. Seasonal Spirits usually show up near the portals at home -- which usually give you 3 tiers of tasks to find something that is scattered within the kingdoms of Sky. This will benefit you more than just earning the rewards of the seasonal spirits. For one thing, revisiting a kingdom will give you the opportunity to check back on some areas that you were not able to check before due to the flight limit of your cape or spirit gates.
