Emotes

Emotes in the game are earned and found whenever you discover and re-live an ancestor spirit’s life. They usually portray some sort of an expression at the end (after lighting their candle), and your character will try and mimic the expression -- earning you the basic form of that particular emote.

When you get access/meet the same ancestor spirit (at the temple at the end of the kingdom), you’ll be able to access the upgrades to that expression. Upgrades in emotes usually include additional movements within the emote itself, accompaniment of sound effects/foley, or some additional light or glow effects when portraying the emote.

Apart from the regular emotes found from the ancestor spirits in the game, you might also find unique emotes performed by other players in the game. These are most probably some Seasonal Expressions. They are quite hard to collect compared to that of the usual emotes from ancestor spirits, and are also exclusively available during a particular Season.

However, if you missed out on some unique expressions or even outfits on a particular season, you can still have the chance to acquire the through the Traveling Spirits -- although what they have in store is usually random (very similar to that of Fortnite’s “Featured” items). These Seasonal Emotes are also purchased with the special currency, seasonal candles (check this page).

Outfits/Cosmetics

Another thing to collect in the game are the fun assortments of items that your avatar can wear (cosmetics). This way, you can tell apart a novice from a veteran player. The rarer you see a wearable item is (from player to player), usually is commensurate to how hard or how rare the item is in the game. There are five types of customizable cosmetic items in the game which includes hair, mask, cape, clothes, and accessory (instrument).

Every cosmetic item in the game is purchased using Hearts. They are similarly bought from ancestor spirits which also provides you with the emotes and their pertaining upgrades. Usually, the unique identifying feature of a particular ancestor (mostly their hair style), is what is sold in that particular spirit shop. Given that the Heart currency is used to purchase most of the cosmetic items in the game, (check this page) to learn how to get them!

Lastly, there are special cosmetic items that are only available through in-app purchase or a s rewards for a special event of each season (Holiday themed cosmetics like that for halloween, christmas and the like). There are also unique cosmetic items like the cape cosmetic item called “Beta Cape” which was only available to players that registered for its beta phase, and the “Small Mask”, which turns your avatar to a chibi version permanently (as long as you are wearing the mask).

Blessings

Apart from the cosmetic items and emotes you usually find and earn from the ancestor spirits, you can also find and purchase different Blessings from them (when you get to see them again in the temple at the end of the kingdom). Blessings come in different varieties and what you’ll get is usually random, and will last only for a few minutes.

There are also two types of blessings. Those that require 1-candle and 5-candle to purchase. 1-candle blessings include 5 different spells like the Glow, Anti-gravity, Fast Recharge, Fireworks, and the Shrink spell. When it is your first time playing the game and haven’t gone through re-birth (meaning you haven’t finished the Eye of Eden chapter), you’ll most likely have access to only the 1-candle blessings.

That said, the 5-candle blessings are only available to those that played and gone through the Eye of Eden chapter of the game -- which at the same time are typically harder to obtain (requirement wise). 5-candle blessings include the Chat Table spell, the Instant Recharge potion, and the (permanent) Resize potion.
