Inventory and Equipment Decks
More Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is an MMOPRG where players take control of a character they chose and explore the beautiful and vibrant world as imagined by Studio Ghibli and Level 5. Inventory Management is almost always a part of not just RPG games, but other genres too as a whole. In our Inventory and Equipment Decks guide we will provide tips and other pointers regarding the game’s inventory management system.
Inventory Management
All loot and rewards you obtain will be automatically sorted and added to your inventory. To access your inventory, tap the Bag icon on the top-right corner of the screen. From there, you’ll find the following tabs: weapons, armor, accessories, consumables, and miscellaneous. You can Salvage unwanted weapons, armor, and accessories where you have the chance to obtain valuable enhancement and crafting materials like anvils, recipes, weapon/armor crystals, enhancement stones, and more. For consumables and miscellaneous items, you can sell them directly for gold, especially any excess weapon or armor crystals. You’ll most likely have a ton of them since the number of weapons or armor you can craft will depend on the number of recipes you have.
Weapons Tab
This tab displays all weapons you have acquired so far. If you have created multiple characters, their default and acquired weapons will be displayed as well. You can only equip weapons that are usable by your class. You can still use the weapons not currently equipped to anyone as fodder and can be salvaged for materials. You can also launch the equip and upgrade screens by selecting any weapons from this tab.
Armor Tab
Similar to the weapon tab, armor pieces will be displayed here. Almost all armor pieces can be equipped by any class in the game so if you have multiple characters under the same account, they’ll most likely use the same set of gears, especially if the said armor pieces are upgraded and of high rarity. You can also launch the equip and upgrade screens by selecting any armor from this tab.
Accessory Tab
This is where you’ll find all the accessories you have acquired and equipped. There are three accessory types: necklaces, earrings, and rings. Multiple characters under the same server and account can share the same accessories. Similar to the Weapon and Armor tabs, you can also launch the equip and upgrade screens by selecting any armor from this tab.
Consumables Tab
This tab contains all consumable items like potions and dishes. If you have collected chests or other containers, you can find and open them from this tab as well. The chests you’ll get can either provide you with random items when opened or you’ll be allowed to choose specific rewards from their contents. If you don’t have any immediate use for the said contents, I suggest don’t open the chests yet and let them remain under this tab until you’re ready to use them.
Miscellaneous Tab
This tab has four sub-tabs where all the other items are categorized. The first sub-tab includes all upgrade materials like weapon/armor/accessory varnishes, upgrade stones, enhancement stones, anvils, four-leaf clovers, evolution fruits, etc.
The second sub-tab lists cooking and crafting materials like ingredients, essences, fabrics, familiar eggs, and crafting crystals to name a few. Some of the other items that can be sold for gold like shiny statues and coins can be sold from this tab.
Next, we have the Gems sub-tab. This tab will list all (not imprinted) gems as well as the varnishes you have acquired so far. You can launch the gem imprint and level up screen by tapping any gem or varnish from this tab.
For the last sub-tab, all Familiar Toys that are not equipped to familiars yet will be listed. From there, you can launch the power up screen by tapping any of the toys.
Equipment Decks
An equipment deck keeps your selected skills, familiars, equipment, weapons, and buffs as a set. This feature allows you to quickly swap to a Deck or set even in the middle of battle. Your CP will increase or fluctuate when switching decks, depending on the stat bonuses provided by your selected familiars and equipment. You can use the same armor and accessories. You can have up to 10 decks at the time.As a general tip, you should have at least two equipment decks with different elemental weapons and corresponding elemental familiars. There are only 5 elements in the game and 3 weapon slots per deck; so for example, have fire, earth, and water weapons and familiar on Deck 1 while Deck 2 has Dark, Light, and any 3rd weapon. That way, you’ll be able to deal bonus damage against bosses and enemies with particular elemental weaknesses.
To set up your equipment decks, you can access the screen by tapping the Main Menu > Character > Deck. To switch on a different deck on the fly, you can open your inventory then tap the little diamond with the number in the lower-right corner.
