Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is an MMOPRG where players take control of a character they chose and explore the beautiful and vibrant world as imagined by Studio Ghibli and Level 5. Aside from the standard quests, the game also has a lot of other gameplay modes. The Chaos Fields is one such mode where idle resource grinding/farming is highly encouraged. Additionally, this is the only place in the game where you can collect Territe, a valuable power-up material and resource that you can trade for Territe Token (NKT). In our Chaos Field guide we will discuss how you can utilize this location to make your resource gathering more efficiently.

Access and Navigation

Chaos Field is a special instance or region filled with powerful monsters that drop valuable rewards such as Territe, gems and gem varnishes, magic tomes, 3* weapons and gear, 3* accessories, and weapon or gear varnishes. To unlock this location, just continue with the story until you get the tutorial or portion to enter the field.

After unlocking it, you can access it by tapping the Menu icon on the top-right, then tap the Challenge button on the right side then select Chaos Field. From there, you can choose to fast travel and pay 1500 gold coins, or if you’re not in a hurry, travel by foot. There are three floors available; so select the floor that’s within your current CP value.

Once you’re inside the field, tap on your minimap in the top-right corner of the screen, then check the checkbox that says “See Drop Info”. That way, you’ll be able to see all the possible drops of the monsters by tapping on them. Once you’ve decided on your target, tap the “Move” button to automatically head to the target and start farming.

AI Mode

This is basically an offline farming system that enables your character to continue farming even when you’re offline. AI Mode lasts for 4 hours after you log out so you’ll get resources and EXP four hours worth the next time you log in. This 4-hour limit is refreshed daily as part of the game’s scheduled daily reset.

On top of that, your character can still take damage and die while in AI Mode so make sure they have the best equipment possible and enough potions in stock. Don’t worry if your back gets filled while you’re offline; excess equipment and items will be sent to your in-game mail. Lastly, you have to make sure that the Auto-Combat button is enabled. This is because AI Mode will end if your character is not in battle for 180 seconds.

To activate AI mode, tap the Menu icon in the top-right then tap the plug icon in the bottom-middle portion of the screen (beside the camera)

Farming Tips

Here are some tips to farm in this area more efficiently:

* The enemies in this area drop generous amounts of EXP and items relative to your class level. If you’re trying to farm enemies significantly lower than your level, EXP and item drops will also decrease significantly.

* Use Energy Drinks! These wonderful items increase the amount of EXP, gold, and drops by 700%. The effect also lasts for 30 minutes so you’re sure to gain a significant amount of loot and EXP especially if you’re farming off enemies within your level.

* Make sure you have enough healing potions! You can always purchase them from the Basic Shop at an incredibly low price. (For example, you can buy 50 Medium HP Potions for 600 gold.)

* Enemies here are incredibly strong and stray mobs can easily gang up on you if you’re not careful. Try to fight away from groups of enemies, especially if you’re not strong enough.

* Since Chaos Field is intended to be a farming spot, expect a lot of players doing the same thing here. Take note that there are 40 channels so if you see your spot is overcrowded, try switching channels.

* Use AI mode! As explained above, this automated farming system allows you to earn hours worth of resources after logging off. Use this to your advantage.

* Try playing on a PC (via emulator). Nothing beats idle farming on a PC, especially if you can do something else while the game is running in the background.
