Here are the instructions to get through the first level of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 - The Magic Begins.

1) Press Y to switch to Hagrid.

2) Go the left and use the spell Wingardium Leviosa on the candles on top of the tables to the left to reveal a red crest.

3) Use Wingardium Leviosa on the stools in front of the bar to create a ramp that enables you to reach the Red crest.

Red Crest

1) Approach the different coloured tiles so Harry steps on it.

2) Use Wingardium Leviosa to raise it.

3) Switch to Harry and grab the handle bar and drop back to the ground.

4) Place the handle bar on the door.

5) Switch to Hagrid and use Wingardium Leviosa to open the door.

6) Use Wingardium Leviosa on the Lego pieces on the ground to open the wall ahead.

7) Keep walking until you reach the lady in white who is looking out the window to the left.

8) Approach her and press B when prompted to collect the green crest.

Green Crest

1) Use Wingardium Leviosa on the barrel to the right and use it again to create a sweeper machine from the junk inside.

2) Use Wingardium Leviosa to bring the green stool down from the roof to the right.

3) Switch to Harry and step on the brown table that is beside the green ones (Hagrid will lift you up).

4) Jump on to the next ledge to meetup with a student.

5) Continue ahead avoiding the green snake hiding to the right and keep going until you reach a cauldron.

6) The ingredients needed are the spider, popsicle and flower. They can be found nearby.

7) Put them all together in the cauldron to make it explode and clear the debris.

8) Return to the alley and switch to Harry.

9) Press Y to ride the sweeper and use it to clean the green goo that was left from the cauldron explosion. This will reveal the yellow crest.

Yellow Crest

1) Continue ahead and use Hagrid to pull the chain and open the door.

2) In the next room use Wingardium Leviosa on the unlighted bulbs on both ends of the tables to reveal a purple coin.

3) Stand in front of the chief goblin and press B to switch to the goblin.

4) Use the goblin's key to open the gate and then open the locked chest to the right to obtain the character token of Tom the Innkeeper.

5) Open the locked chest to the left to obtain the character token of Mr. Ollivander.

6) After the cart ride, use the goblin key to open the locked chest to the right to find the character token of Griphook, a character who is able to open safes.

Hogwarts

1) Shoot the trunk to the right to get Ron's character token.

2) Shoot the cobwebs on the door to unlock it.

3) Continue downstairs, then go upstairs to the right and switch to Ron.

4) Order Ron's pet to enter the pipe and open the door.

5) Go downstairs and press B to move the stairs.

6) Continue to the hall.

7) Save the three students.

8) Use Wingardium Leviosa on the bookshelf by the window to reveal the character token Boy.

9) At the hall arrange the Lego pieces to open the gate.

10) Assemble the knight armor. Connect the head to the armor to reveal the secret room to the left.

11) Switch to Hermione and press B to read the symbols.

12) Enter the door.
