In this page, we’ll be checking out the primary feature of Blade Idle which is defeating enemies on each stage with your character. As you start on your journey, you’ll be attacking enemies non-stop, and you’ll be focusing on your hero’s growth. You’ll then eventually learn skills along the way in order to become stronger. Let’s check what you’ll be expecting when battling in Blade Idle.
How Battling works in Blade Idle
With the name Blade Idle, you’ll already have a general idea that there will be some idle elements in terms of gameplay. When playing the game for the first time, you’ll notice that your character will start fighting enemies on the given stage, and they won’t stop attacking.
Each stage has a time limit, and your main goal is to clear all enemies on the current stage within that time period. Once you have defeated all enemies, you will then move to the next stage. For example, you’ll start out in Stage 1-1 and then you’ll move to Stage 1-2 and so forth. These refers to the current chapter and stage that you are going through.
Some of your main quests will ask you to complete a specific chapter and stage. You will know your progress by checking the bar on the top of the screen. The progress bar fills up based on how many enemies you have defeated, completing the bar means you have defeated all enemies and cleared the stage.
When starting out, your character will be attacking on their own with normal hits. Once you move forward with the stages, you’ll be unlocking skills and be equipping them to your character. The skill buttons are shown on the bottom of the screen, tapping them will make your character use the skill and it will enter a cool-down. Soon enough, you will be unlocking auto mode as well which will let your character attack and use skills on their own.
Repeat Mode and Breakthrough Mode
Now that you know how basic battles work in Blade Idle, you will be progressing through a lot of chapters and stages. Each stage that you progress forward into will mean that the enemies that you’ll be facing will become stronger as well. Breakthrough Mode is the default mode whenever you complete a stage successfully and move on to the next one.
However, what will happen if your character cannot clear a current stage? This will cause the game to start on repeat mode which will make your hero repeat an easier stage over and over again in order to start farming. You’ll see a chest icon below the Guild button on the lower-left side of the screen which will show your farming progress.
By going on repeat mode, you can farm for Gold, EXP, Equipment, Event items, and more. This will give you time as well to focus on your hero’s growth in order to make them stronger so they can continue with the breakthrough mode. Soon enough, you will learn that making your hero stronger is one of the core gameplay features in Blade Idle.
