Last Updated:

When progressing through the different stages in Blade Idle, your character will be attacking hordes of enemies non-stop in order to break through the different chapters. Aside from hitting regular attacks, your character can learn skills along the way as they level up. Skills that you can acquire can be used in battle in order to help you deal more damage versus enemies, and you can learn other skills to improve your battle prowess.

In this page, we’ll be checking the Skills section that you can find in order to help your character grow better. We hope that this page will help you learn more about how this feature works, and how you can use it to your advantage in order to clear stages in the game. Let us check what you can expect from using skills!

What are Skills?

When checking the Growth section of your game’s menu, one of the ways that you can become stronger is through the usage of skills. Skills are divided into two categories: Active skills, and Passive skills. Both of these skills help you in battle since they provide you with a variety of effects.

Active Skills: These skills are assigned to skill slots, and they can be used in battle while on the field. Each skill can deal damage and they have unique effects. For example, some skills deal multiple hits, while others let you attack from afar. Once you reach level 3500, you can equip 5 skills at a time. Skills that you learn are based on your level progression.

Passive Skills: These skills are learned and provide effects to your character permanently. For example, you can have passive skills which can increase your total HP, or Attack. Increasing these will help maximize the potential damage and durability of your hero.

How to Upgrade Skills

When checking the skills that you have, you will notice hat there are numbers shown on the upper-left side of each icon. Skills can be upgraded in order to get better effects in battle. In order to upgrade skills, tap on the skill of your choice and use the Upgrade button.

Skills can only be upgraded once you have the necessary skill books available, some skills will require equipment materials as well. You can acquire skill books as you progress in the game’s chapters by acquiring Skill Book chests. Once you play the game long enough, you should be able to master all skills that are available.

Using Skill Sets

Once you have assigned skills for use in battle, you will find the skill buttons at the lower-side of the screen. You will notice that there are numbers 1, 2, and 3 above them. These numbers refer to the skill sets that you can use in battle. Since you can assign up to 5 skills at a given time, you can rotate this with other skill sets to give you more combinations.

You must take note though that if you play on auto mode, your hero will only use the highlighted skill set of your choice. Checking each skill available will help you create skill sets that can be suited for specific situations such as campaign runs, dungeons, or raids.

We hope that the information provided in this page will help you out when preparing in battle. As you acquire more skill book chests, you can level up your skills and become better in battle. Combine this feature with other growth options as well and you should reach a lot of new stages in no time.
