Episode 3 Data Recovery Puzzles Walkthrough
More An Elmwood Trail - Crime Story
In Episode 3 of An Elmwood Trail you will need to continue the data recovery process on Zoey's to unlock more missing content. The data recovery sections will come at certain points in the game progression.
This will mean completing more puzzles and mini games to recover some of the lost data from the phone. Below is a description of the Puzzles from Episode 3 and the methods you need to use to solve them.

First Puzzle
The first data recovery task of episode 3 will become available after you find out about Damon, kevin's ex bandmate. Go to Zoey's phone to start the recovery and begin the puzzle.

- This is a nonogram style puzzle
- This puzzle has a 5x5 grid with numbers at the top and on the left.
- You can tap the empty squares to fill them in.
- Set the correct pattern of filled in squares to complete it.
Solution: Show

Completing this will recover some emails and photos on the phone.

Second Puzzle
The second puzzle will be available after you talk to Betty and Kyle, on Feb 22nd.
Go to Zoey's phone and you will star the recovery process.

- There is another grid of grey squares.
- Tap anywhere on the grid to start and a white dot will be placed.
- You can then tap any of the adjacent circles to place the next white dot.
- You need to fill in all of the squares with white dots without getting stuck.
Solution: The tricky part is the bottom right set of 4 squares, start here and fill in the four squares and then move on to the left or upwards. Complete the rest of the grid carefully to make sure you don't miss any.Show

Third Puzzle
The third puzzle will be available after you talk to Ray at the Riverstone campsite.
Go to Zoey's phone and you will star the recovery process.

- There is another grid of grey squares.
- On the grid there is a white dot, a white circle and a grey square.
- You can swipe the square to move it one block at a time on the grid. You cannot move it back to a square you have been to.
- The aim is to push the white dot into the the white circle.
Solution: Move the square to the left and up, then push the white circle to the right and then down.Show

Fourth Puzzle
The fourth puzzle will be available after you make the order for Jim's science project.
Go to Zoey's phone and you will star the recovery process.

- There is a grid of nine grey squares.
- The center square will flash and you need to tap it to copy this.
- Next two squares will flash in sequence. Copy this and then continue as the sequence gets longer.
- You will need to carry on until you have finished the sequence with all nine squares.
Solution: The sequences always repeat with one extra square each time.
The sequence can be different for your own game.
You will recover emails and a photo.

Fifth Puzzle
The fifth puzzle will be available after you talk to Shane and Damon.
Go to Zoey's phone and you will star the recovery process.

This is a pipe flow / connect the lines puzzle.
Tap the sections of the lines to rotate them.
Link the lines together to form a single continuous line from the top left to the bottom right.
