How does my enforcer get kills against their name?

Raiding other factions or attacking other factions, I had 0 kills and after one raid and one attack I now have 1,895 kills, don't know which one did it, but join a faction and then raid a unprotected house

What’s the point though, do you gain anything?

So if you raid a faction, you will get a kill? And if you just attack it, you'll not get any kill?.
