Exchange Points and Duplicate Summons

We have covered the Gacha basics in the previous page. However, there are still additional mechanics or features of this system that you have to be aware of as well. In our Exchange Points and Duplicate Summons Guide, we will discuss what are Exchange Points and what items you’ll get when you summon copies of characters you already own.

The Eminence in Shadow RPG is the mobile game adaptation of a popular isekai light novel where players take the reins of Cid, a modern-day teenager who gets transported to a dark fantasy world after death. Players have to collect various iterations and rarities of the established heroines in the game to form their ideal combat parties and proceed through the story.

Exchange

For each summon attempt, you’ll get 1 Exchange Point for the specific banner where you summoned. You’ll still exchange points if you ever summon additional copies of the characters you already own though you’ll also receive Magic Cores or Akashic Crystals on top of the EP (see more below). Summon attempts using Tickets will also earn you an exchange point.

For the Selection banners, you have to earn 200 EPs to be able to exchange for the featured character. For the Regular Summon banner, 200 EP can be exchanged for an SS Guaranteed Summon ticket that will allow you to choose an SS character from the available pool. The Guaranteed SS banner doesn’t have an Exchange counter.

EPs are counted separately from each banner and for limited banners, the EP earned is only valid during the duration of their respective banners, any unused EP will be permanently lost once the banner is over. Unfortunately, there is no type of compensation or exchange for these earned EPs and they’ll not be carried over to the next banners as well.

Duplicate Summons

If you’ve recruited a character that you already own, you’ll either get a Magic Core or Akashic Crystal, depending on their rarity, as listed below:

Magic Cores are required to Awaken your SS characters. Akashic Crystals can be exchanged from the shop for Shards that can be used to promote a character’s rarity. Increasing a character’s rarity will permanently improve their core stats and increase their level cap as well. And yes, even SS characters’ rarity can be improved even further.
