Last Updated:

Progressing through different stages in Tears of Themis will let you go through different debates of increasing levels. As you unlock more stages, you will have opponents with an increased power level which can become challenging since you only have a limited number of turns. One of your main goals in Tears of Themis is to improve your cards.

In this Card Level Up Guide, we’ll provide you information about a card’s level, as well as how you can unlock their level caps as well as EXP requirements in order for them to become stronger. With different card rarities available, the EXP that is needed will differ between all of them.

Card Level

When obtaining cards from Visions, you’ll get varying rarities ranging from R, SR, and SSR. Each card that you get will all start at level 1, and you can increase their levels through enhancement. By checking each card, you can provide them with EXP by giving them Oracle of Justice.

You can get this material through Legal Studies as well as completing stages. Based on how much EXP you provide for your card; you can then increase their maximum level until they reach their level caps. A card’s level will determine the following stats:

  • Influence: This determines a card’s attack power

  • Defense: This determines how much you can resist an opponent’s attack

Your card's level affects your Influence and Defense
Your card's level affects your Influence and Defense

Increasing both of these stats will increase your power which can help out during debates. Not only do you get to take out your opponent’s faster, but it will also be easier for you to sustain damage since you have increased defense to protect your HP.

  • Unlocking your card’s Level Cap

Every card in Tears of Themis has stages of evolution which can determine their maximum level cap. Once you reach a card’s maximum level, you will need to have materials in order to evolve them. Not only do you get increased stats, but the card will have more levels possible. Here are the following maximum level caps available:

  • Level 40

  • Level 70

  • Level 100

Your card’s maximum level will be affected by their rarity. If you want to have the best cards available, you can refer to the maximum level cap limit on the table below:

    Card RarityMaximum Level
    R70
    SR100
    SSR100

  • Card EXP Table

Every card has an EXP requirement based on their current level, as well as rarity. You will notice that higher rarity cards will have higher EXP requirements. You can only get a certain number of Oracle of Justice at a time, so you will want to be able to level up your best cards.

If you plan to have a strong deck, it would be best to start by leveling up your SR and SSR cards to 40, and then choosing which ones you’ll use often that will be unlocked to 70 and 100. Having a good balance will be better such as having multiple level 70 cards instead of having just 1 card that’s level 100 and others with a weaker level.
