You’ll notice that when checking the main screen, you’ll find a button that you won’t be able to access early on called the NXX. This game feature will only be available once you finish the main story of the game at stage 04-02. So, what does the NXX provide for you in Tears of Themis?
In this page, we’ll provide you with the basics of the NXX Headquarters as well as the benefits that they can provide for you. As you progress through the main story of the game, you will want to have better cards and skills, therefore getting the right materials that you need will help you out. The NXX HQ has several features, so let us check what they can provide.
What is the NXX?
The NXX is a game feature that provides you with a base of operations alongside the main characters of the game. In this area, you’ll be able to find different features such as checking your case files from the main story, acquisition of items, as well as improvement of your skills. Once you have completed 04-02 from the main episode, you will be introduced to the NXX.
When starting out, you will have access to a specific number of rooms, however you will need improve your headquarters and level it up in order to get more features. If you check the lower left side of the screen in the NXX, you will be able to check your HQ level. This will determine the features that you can have so far.
Once you have acquired the NXX feature, you will get HQ Exp by doing the following actions:
As you progress with your HQ levels, you will then be able to provide upgrades to the rooms that are available here. Leveling up your NXX HQ can be a passive progress since you will want to improve your cards anyway. Think of the level upgrades that you will get as bonuses instead since you’ll be provided better features as you improve your deck.
NXX-OS
When checking the center of the NXX HQ, you will find the computer in the middle that has the NXX-OS. This is a section where you can view your System Log, Case Files, and Personnel files. If you wish to re-read some of the files that you have acquired from the game’s main story, then this is the place that you will be checking as well.
Some of the cases that you will be undertaking in Tears of Themis will be exclusive to the NXX as well. Being able to review your files will be good if you wish to learn more about the story of the game as well as the details of the cases that are available.
Resource Requisition
If you want to get stronger cards, you will need to enhance them and eventually evolve them. Being able to acquire materials such as Stellin and Oracle of Justice will help you out in getting the best cards that are available. Thankfully, this is what the Resource Requisition room provides and it gives you a passive way to obtain these items.
Resource requisition provides you with a four-hour timer, and you’ll be able to get Stellin, Oracle of Justice, or both depending on what you need. Your Resource Requisition room level will be upgraded based on the HQ level, and it can increase the number of resources that you can acquire as follows:

Resource requisition slots are unlocked as you reach NXX HQ levels 2, 7, and 11. You can also get more slots by purchasing the monthly pass if you wish to maximize the requisition that you can acquire. Make sure to claim the rewards that you get once the timer finishes.
File Room
The File Room is a place where you can acquire Research Materials and Impressions. These items will help you increase the CL in the Study Room, and they are important for improving your skills with your cards. You will get a list of cases available, and you will have to dispatch certain cards and wait for the timer in order for them to come back.
The rewards that you get will depend on the case levels, and you can get more cases depending on the HQ level that you have reached. You can check the upgrades for your file room as follows:

The cases that you can take will depend on which cards you have available. If you want to get the best rewards, it would be best for you to level your cards up to 40, and have multiple of them. If you are able to get up to 5 Case Analyses, then you will need to have up to 5 “Teams” of level 40+ cards.
Study Room
The Study Room is a place that you’ll be able to unlock once you have completed stage 04-15 in the main story. Here, you can use the materials that you have obtained from the file room in order to increase CL (Confidence Level). This is important since it will increase your base HP which is useful for debates. Increasing your confidence level also provides you with Confidence Points (CP) which is used to increase talents.
Your NXX HQ Level will determine the maximum study room level that you have, which in turn will affect the CL cap that you can acquire. You can check the upgrades below.

With the CP that you can acquire, you will get a skill tree available which will use the points in order for you to improve your cards. Depending on the cards that you have, you will want to increase talents that will affect your deck. This will be a long process, but it’s going to be a continuous work in progress for you.
