There are several ways to get the best heroes in the game -- which in return will increase your overall might. For a start, there are basically four ways to to this; selecting heroes for their quality, leveling up, upgrading, and awakening.

By Selection (Hero Quality)

There are four categories of heroes in the game that are mostly differentiated from the default base stats that they have, as well as for the skills they are endowed with. Meaning, as the base stats gets a higher default value and the better the skill they have, the higher quality the hero has too. It is relatively easy to spot the quality of heroes in the game from their color. For common heroes, the hero's avatar is outlined blue. Purple for Rare ones, Orange for Epic Ones, and Red for the legendary ones. As you play the game, you'd get a lot of chance to draw out new heroes to join you every now and then. Basically, being smart with the heroes you keep and upgrade will ultimately make a difference in your overall game progress.

Leveling Up Heroes

Leveling up a hero in Royal Chaos is different from actually upgrading it. In a way, a hero's level in the game is more like a pre-requisite variable for your actual upgrades. Nonetheless, each time you level up, there are small increments in your pertaining hero's base stats. Since the game is auto-battled, experience earned through the battles are given in the form of experience pills. What you do with these pills is allocate them manually to individual heroes you wish to level up.

You need to take note too that the level cap that you can perform on your heroes is limited to the current level of your main character. When you change heroes too, they will basically start on a level where you'd either left them off, or level 1 when you just got them - regardless if you are at the latter levels of the game.

Upgrading Heroes

Early in the game, you might want to skip on the whole upgrading part. Not unless you get your hands at least on purple heroes, you should never waste precious upgrade on low level heroes. For what counts most in performing this upgrade is basically unlocking the special skills that the hero have - which low level heroes pretty much have none or crap of a skill anyways. When you have unlocked a hero's passive and active skills, the concluding upgrade will mainly improve its effect/s.

Hero Awakening

Hero awakening is pretty much done like that of that in your main character. The conditions needed to perform each tier of awakening is similar too which are on the:

5th upgrade - for the 1st tier of Awakening

8th upgrade - for the 2nd tier of Awakening

11th upgrade - for the last tier of Awakening

Apart from this upgrade requirement, you should also be aware of the need to procure awaken gems (usually earned from clan wars).
