Royal Chaos–Enter A Dreamlike Kingdom of Romance Guide

The game is set in ancient China, where the necessity to strategically position yourself in power was of utmost importance. In the game, you basically manage your character, the representative of your house, in order to gain political power and ultimately secure your family's future. The main objective in the game is to battle through checkpoints of power, and eliminate all threats to your ambition - (cat fight in most instances). When playing the game, you'll basically find yourself managing four primary tasks:

Gameplay

Managing Your Character and Team

Although marketed as an MMORPG, the game is basically put up with a casual interface where everything is mostly instanced sets of actions, triggered by your choices -- for those that are thinking of an open-world kind of game, sad to say this isn't one. Battles are also auto-played and heavily relies in strategic placement of Heroes in their best effective spot in the formation, as well as upgrading them or their equipment to over-power their adversities.

Gameplay

The roster of fighters you send mainly needs to battle other households interested in the power you seek, in order to progress through the ranks and ultimately earn special privileges. In the battles themselves, you'll see how different formations will have different repercussions and outcomes in battle. Each time you get to a specified checkpoint and clear it, you'll basically unlock a new section in the game.

Every time you set your team to battle, their stats will basically makeup the result of the battle. You can send as much as four heroes along with your main character. There are two rows in the formation, with the two of them lined up in front - mostly to take the damage upfront, and the at the back row for crowd control, and/or support. There wouldn't be much active participation within the battles themselves as they are auto-played by the game.

Gameplay

You are mainly involved in strategically putting together heroes and a character that will effectively compliment each other's skills. Additionally, you should try to check their flow of attack or at least pair up heroes that stand a better chance at defeating a concluding level in the game.

Leveling/Upgrading your Character and Heroes

The main point in the game is to succeed in all your hurdles -- meaning you should effectively win against the challenges/battles. To do this, you are tasked to continuously improve your character and your heroes. There are several ways to do this but basically you need to level up - which is done by subscribing your roster to battles, and earning the concluding experience there.

Additionally, you can also improve on their equipment, as you earn them from loots when you defeat your enemies. There are 6 individual gears to equip on each of your heroes, and you can individually upgrade each one as well. Each equipment is also graded depending on rarity, and usually, the more rare it becomes, the stronger boosts it imparts to your heroes.

Not limited to just improving on their overall battle performance, character customization is pretty much the main selling point of this game as well -- as obvious from all the detail you get when scouring through the huge library of available costumes/equipment. Notice each one is rendered differently on your character/hero's sprite when sent in battle.

Enlisting Heroes

The last main activity in the game is enlisting heroes. Without and open world to find your additional characters, what you'll need to do in this game instead is to enlist for heroes that will help you. In this game, you need to pay tokens or gold ingots to get you some heroes to help you. There are different types and rarity to them as well. The goal is to get the best ones that will compliment your fighting style or at least benefit your whole team better. As you progress in the game, you'll get better heroes that will most likely suit your needs or your ever evolving play-style to counter that of the emerging stronger enemy teams.
