Last Updated:

Punishing Gray Raven is a visually-stunning, action-packed ARPG set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the Corrupted. The game has a variety of different characters, each with their own set of skills, abilities, attack styles and more. To improve a construct’s combat capability, you can level it up, enhance its skills, promote it, and more. Promotion is one such process that will allow you to further improve your constructs’ stats and their Battle Power. In our Punishing Gray Raven Promotion guide, we will cover the basics of this feature and how to use them to your advantage.

How to Promote Characters

Promotion increases the rank of the construct (not to be confused by rank/class), further increasing the construct’s stats and battle power. You can promote a construct every 5 levels. There are only two requirements to promote a construct:

* Clear the required story mission level

* Construct reaches the required level.

Once your construct meets the requirements, you just need to pay the required amount of cogs to process the promotion. You can even see the stats that will increase post-promotion. Promotion is permanent and can’t be rolled back (why would you even). You’ll need a total of 542,500 cogs to fully promote a construct. The promotion ranks are the following: Private, Sergeant, Elite, Task Force, Ace, and Hero.

Promoting a construct can be resource-extensive since you have to reach the required level even and you also have to grind through several story missions to unlock more promotion ranks. The challenge is that story stages will have recommended battle power as well so you’ll need to work on other methods as well to increase your BP and tackle those story stages. That’s why, you should only promote the characters you’ll be using often, especially your main content clearers.

That concludes our Punishing Gray Raven Construct Promotion Guide. Please check out our other pages related to the game for more PGR content.
