Last Updated:

Each character has their exclusive gear and badges that indicate their rank. You can further enhance and ascend these items to further improve a character’s own combat power, like how you usually do for normal gears. In our Exclusive Gear Guide, we will discuss how to properly manage your equipment to increase your individual characters’ combat power.

One Punch Man - The Strongest is the mobile game adaptation of the popular shonen manga and anime series that centers around the titular One Punch Man. Players can’t play as Saitama himself but they’ll be able to recruit various heroes, villains, and more to form a powerful team they can use to clear the various game content.

Characters have access to an exclusive gear called a Keepsake and a badge called an Insignia. These items are tied to their respective characters and can’t be removed or exchanged. Leveling up both of them will help improve the owner’s own combat power. While both Keepsakes and Insignias gain stat increases for every level, they can dramatically increase their stats every five levels. The colors of the exclusive gear will change as well as their level increases.

Keepsake

Keepsakes are signature equipment or parts of characters. You can enhance them using Keepsake EXP Cards only.

Ascending keepsakes will increase their secondary stats and will put a star on them. After ascending a Keepsake once, its corresponding 1-star Perk will get activated as well. After ascending a Keepsake to 3-stars or above, the character’s Ultimate will become an UItra Ultimate. Ascension will require Star Ascension Cards, Crystals, and Crystal Cores. All can be obtained from the Gear Materials gacha but only the Crystals and Crystal Cores can only be farmed from an instance or dungeon (Institute of Genetics).

Insignia

Insignias are badges that display the character’s rank within the faction they belong to. For example, Amai Mask has a Class-A badge since he’s an A-class hero within the Hero organization while Vaccine Man has a Dragon badge indicating his strength level among the members of the monster faction. While you can’t change the classification of characters, you can still enhance and ascend your badges to further improve their stats and color.

Exclusive Gear Guide

As much as possible, try to level up the exclusive gears of the characters you’re using often. Every single improvement and enhancement done on these equipment will directly reflect towards the character’s overall combat power.
