Having a Season pass grants you another tier of quests that are limited to season pass holders. These special quests usually reward players with seasonal items that free players do not have access to (at least for that pertaining season). However, a free-player can still avail of these items through the travelling spirits, but most likely through the use of the much valuable ascended candles.
