This stage will pit you against a huge tentacle boss. As soon as the battle starts, head to the chokepoint north of your starting position and start building some towers there. The enemy’s tentacles will appear on the gaps and from the hole in the middle so surrounding it with high-damaging towers like the deathbeamer or rocket towers is recommended. Since you’ll be using your towers mostly to deal with the boss, you have to bring an engineer and two tanks that can guard the entrance, like the Assault and Bombardiers. Place whatever towers you want in the two spots by the gate. Another good option for a member is the Recon. You can abuse its Mark Enemy ability to focus rocket/needler fire to the Kraken’s head. You have to build several rocket launchers though, however.
The tentacles are decoys so don’t bother attacking them. You need to deal with the head. This part of the Kraken appears on different holes. You’ll need to control one soldier of your choice to deal damage to the head while repairing the towers whenever you have the chance. You have to build as many towers as possible and upgrade them to help you deal as much damage as possible to the head when it surfaces. As usual, the Blamwitzer will be of immense help here since its range can help you attack incoming enemies and even the Kraken’s head when it’s not busy.
As the battle drags on, you’ll encounter the shield emitter tanks that can forcibly insert shielded enemies past your defense line, especially when everyone is busy with the tentacles. You also need to have a fully upgraded healthgun to keep your front gate guards alive. Repair all your towers since you’ll need as much firepower as you can to deal with this boss. If you’re still having difficulty after all this, consider grinding your heroes so you can purchase better weapons and upgrade their skills/ abilities as well.
