What are Cracks?

The cracks that appear on the ground in Virtual Villagers Origins 2 are caused whenever there is an earthquake on the island. Check out our What are Cracks guide to find out what these gaps in the ground mean for your villagers.

Once a crack has randomly appeared on the island (see screenshot above) your villagers can explore them in the hope of finding valuable resources, currency and special items by following these steps.

1) Gather 2 vines

2) Combine the 2 vines in the Crafting Hut to make a rope.

3) When a crack appears after an earthquake, drop a villager on the Crafting Hut.

4) Select the rope you made.

5) Your villager will then proceed to go down the crack.

The items your villager can expect to find down the crack are 100% random and there is no guarantee you will find anything. The only way you can guarantee getting something when you explore the crack is with the Lemur. There are 3 levels of cracks in Virtual Villagers Origins 2 and listed below are the different things you can expect to find down them.

- Tech

- Lavastone

- Food

- Magic

- Oil

- Limestone

- Worm

- Metal

- Necklace 1

- Necklace 3

- Golden pan

- Pumpkin seed

Some of the things above such as the golden pan for Chapter 1 - Puzzle 11: Fixing the Statue, are unique and are required to solve puzzles.
