Do I want Flying Squirrels?

Curiosity got the best of me, only managed to wait some days for an answer, before deciding to find out the answer myself. I got myself some Flying Squirrels, they're super cute, and if you place a sick villager on the Flying Squirrel's tree house platform, a squirrel will come, and heal them.

But at least this far I've needed to feed daily for the first squirrel to grow, and then he wanted a friend to be really happy. I thought if I got a second, while I still had to feed the first one, they would eat together.

Big mistake!

I now have a hungry second Flying Squirrel, and the first squirrel is eating all the food portions alone. I presume he will continue to eat all the food I bring, until he's fully grown.

My 3 Crafting baskets are currently all used for making other stuff I need to finish the chapter challenges, it's some of those which takes many hours to days to make. I have one portion left of Squirrel food in "storage", which isn't enough to make the first squirrel fully grown, so it looks like the second squirrel might have to wait a few days, before I can start feeding it.

If she's still alive by then, and she grows up, I've now gotten some info about that a pair might make a new baby Flying Squirrel. Which I presumably also is expected to feed...
