More Never After

Last Updated:

In Never After, you get to play through a MMORPG that lets you control your own character in order to battle. There are different classes available for you to choose from, and you can use a variety of skills that can aid you when battling, you also get to have the aid of different partners to ease the tide of battle.

Aside from leveling up and using your skills, you will want to increase your BR so that you can become stronger. In this page, we’ll be checking out how Gears work in Never After, and why they’re important to have and improve upon when acquiring them. Let’s check what you can do with Gears below.

What are Gear?

So, what are Gears in Never After? To put it simply, your gear refers to the equipment that you can use in order to provide increased stats for your character. When checking out your bag, you’ll find that there are different item slots for your gear such as Headgear, Gloves, Upper Armor, Lower Armor, Shoes, Weapon, Necklace, Rings, Earrings, and Accessory. They also come in different grades which are based on their background color such such as common gear (Green).

When playing through the game, you’ll be able to get these items as you complete through the different quests that are available. If you check each gear that you have, you will see that they can have the following: BR, Basic Stats, Bonus Stats, Enchant Stats.

BR refers to its overall power, while Basic Stats increase specific stats. Bonus and Enchant stats can be added in order to provide better buffs and increased BR for your character. As you get higher levels, you’ll want to have better gear in order for you to challenge stronger opponents.

How to strengthen your Gear

Now that you know how gear works, you will want to improve them through refinement. Once you have the Gear menu unlocked, you can open it and use materials in order to increase the stats of your gear. By using Attack Cores, Defense Cores, and Silver as materials, you can refine your 2 stats for each of your equipment.

The stats that can be increased can also be dependent on your class. For example, Warriors have stat refines that can increase ATK, HP, Def, etc. since this reflects their role of being a tank and melee class. Higher stat refines will use up more cores, and you’ll need higher core levels if you are refining equipment with higher rarity as well.

Acquiring better Gear

You might be wondering where you can acquire better gear aside from quests. Once you reach level 45, you’ll be able to unlock the Endless Mirage event which can be done once a day. This event can provide you with Silver, Arcane Stones, as well as Gears of all classes. Not only that, but you also have a chance to acquire Orange gears, Partner Skill Books, and Partner Combo Skill Manuals.

In the long run, you’ll want to use gear that has higher rarity since they provide you with better stats. Don’t forget to run Endless Mirage each day once you have unlocked it. You can read more about the event mechanics by checking the “To-Do” list of events.
