Never After is a game with MMORPG elements, you get to play as a hero that you can create and take on different classes before you take on your journey. One of the key features that you’ll find in Never After is the fairy tale setting that you’ll be able to explore. When starting out in the game, you’ll be playing through a tutorial in order for you to learn about the basics, but not only that, you will get to have a Castle of your own.

In this page, we’ll be providing you with a brief guide on how the Castle system works in Never After. With different menus available in the game, things might become daunting for you to check every feature. Let us check what’s available at the Castle, so you will know in advance how to navigate this area.

What is the Castle?

So, what is the Castle feature in Never After? When starting out your journey, you get to choose a class and play through the game’s tutorial in order to learn the basics of the game. You will get to learn that you’ll have your own Castle as your base of operations, and you’ll even get to have a companion maid that will take care of it.

Aside from doing quests from the main maps, you can access the Castle through your game menus on the right-hand side. Tapping on this button will automatically teleport you to your own Castle. From there, you’ll be greeted by your Maid, this location will also have your partners around the area and you can interact with them. You can consider the hub as your go to location if you wish to relax away from doing quests and battles.

Castle Features

The Castle is a big place that you can freely explore on your own, however, you can get to interact with different NPCs that reside within the area. This includes your maid as well as partners that you can get, you can tap on the map on the upper-right side in order to check where they are located. The Castle lets you check specific features daily as follows:

Talking to your Partners: Your partners are scattered across the map of your Castle area; you can talk to them each day and you have two options you can use. The Daily Gift option will let you receive a box that will help improve your relationship with your partner, while Interact & Chat can let you increase your closeness, you can even get Bound Diamonds! Take note that there are limits to the gifts you can receive each day, once all gift limits have been reached, you can only interact & chat with the rest of your Partners.

Resource Gathering and Crafting: If you check your Castle Map, you’ll find some blue icons that you can interact with. These are areas that you can use in order to gather resources. Farming lets you sow seeds and harvest fruit and magic crystals, the Workbench lets you craft items, Mining lets you gather Ore, Fishing lets you catch Fish, and Logging lets you gather wood. All of these items are needed in order for you to craft items, so make sure to do your daily routine at the castle.

Leveling up your Castle

The features that you can acquire will be dependent on your current level as a player. For example, some features such as the Workbench, can only be accessed if you are level 26. There are some materials from resource gathering that can only be provided as well once you reach a specific castle level.

In order to learn how to increase your Castle’s level, you can tap on the “Info” button on the upper-right screen. This will show you the requirements for leveling up such as shown on this image below, you will need to become level 30 in order to reach Castle level 3.

Increasing your Castle Levels will also increase the level of the facilities at your Workbench such as the Kitchen, Alchemical, and Furniture Studio. Also, you will be able to unlock rarer grades of materials from resource gathering. In order to max out the features of Castle, make sure to keep leveling up! You can do this through main quests, as well as daily events!
