In this game, you’ll get to create your own character in order to start your journey in a world full of lore and familiar faces from fairy tales. Starting on your journey means that you’ll need to customize your own personal character not only in terms of looks, but their playstyle as well.

In this page, we’ll be providing you with a guide to the different classes that you can start with when playing Never After. The class that you choose will determine your role in battle, as well as their gameplay. By learning about the different classes available, you’ll be able to choose which style of gameplay you are most comfortable with. Let’s check what’s in store for Never After’s various offers.

What are Classes?

When creating a character in Never After, you’ll get to create an avatar that will represent yourself. You can customize your looks and name, but there’s also an important choice that you will need to make at the beginning of the game, and this is by choosing your first class. If you have played a lot of role playing games, you might already know what a class is.

In Never After, you have 5 classes that you can choose from. Classes will determine the type of role you’ll have in battle since this will affect which skills you can learn, as well as which progression you’ll be making as you become stronger. Are you the type who likes to be at the front of battle and deal damage, or perhaps you want to support others and heal. Thankfully, Never After has varied classes that can have a suitable playstyle for you.

On the character creation screen, you’ll be provided with the 5 starting classes available, as well as a brief description of their roles as follows:

ClassRoleDescription
KnightTank - DefenseA brave warrior from the temple knights who uses his lance and holy shield to defend justice and equality throughout the land. They are the warriors of the team, equally versed in attack and defense, and ready to surmount any obstacle.
HunterRanged - DamageA group of elves from the forest who are as deferential to nature as they are dedicated to the art of the bow. Nimble as they are, they can take down enemies from a great distance, making them the nucleus of the team's power.
SorcererAoE - ControlNature is interlinked with the elements, and their use has almost become such that they have almost made all into one. They have both the burst type magic damage and silence at their disposal, making them the main force of control on the team.
AssassinBurst - ControlConcealed in dark corners and blended in with the night. A lone harvester, quicky attacks are his modus operandi. If ever you escape an assassin like this, it may only be due to their mercy.
MusicianMagic - HealingThe graceful musicians hail from the nightingale of heaven, and their carefree attitude is enough to convince anyone that there is beauty in the world. Their soundwave attacks and powerful healing make them a popular addition to any team.

In some other games, roles are gender locked meaning your avatar will be male or female depending on the class that you’ve chosen. In Never After, this is not the case since the classes are available for everyone. Once you have chosen your class, you’ll be able to enter the game. Let’s check each class in detail below!

Knight Class

Knight Class

  • Gameplay: Melee, Physical, Defense

  • Description: “Wearing heavy armor and holding a sword and shield blessed by holy light, Knights charge fearlessly on the most dangerous front line. They are the core of the team and the most reliable guardian.”

  • Notes: Knights have well rounded abilities and are suitable for any type of players wanting to explore the game. They have excellent survival and defense, but they can also provide damage through decent attack and they can help others by assisting and controlling enemies. If you are the type who wants to be at the heart of battle and keep your allies safe from harm, then the Knight class is a good choice.

  • Hunter Class

  • Gameplay: Attack speed, Control Beast

  • Description: “Wearing light leather armor, Hunters can engage the enemy from a distance with precise shots. They can also command animals to aid in fights. Hunters are agile and show their advantages in chaotic battles.”

  • Notes: Hunters excel in damage dealing capabilities. With their ranged attacks, they can focus on taking out enemies as fast as possible since they have high speed. They can also assist allies through the use of beasts. With their damage output, they can help finish battles quickly, however they may have a hard time surviving in battle with their low defenses and survival. Positioning your character well, and taking out the bad guys are your main goal with this class.

  • Sorcerer Class

  • Gameplay: Control fire and ice, Summon elemental phoenix

  • Description: “Sorcerers trade a strong physique in for a powerful mind, which can destroy their enemies in an instant with arcane spells. They wield staves or magic books, and manipulate elements at will. They are the most powerful strikers in battles.”

  • Notes: Sorcerers can deal elemental damage from afar, they have decent attacking capabilities and can hit multiple enemies at once. Aside from attacking, they have good crowd control and can hinder enemies with their spells while other players can help in taking them out as well. This offensive capability comes at a cost though, since they are very prone to taking damage. Knowing how to move properly and position yourself is a must if you are taking the path of a Sorcerer.

  • Assassin Class

  • Gameplay: High DPS, Fast, Moon

  • Description: “Assassins lurk in the shadow and blend in with the darkness. Swift killing is their trademark, and lone reaper is their identity. If someone were to escape from the Assassins' dagger, it may be out of their meager mercy.”

  • Notes: Assassins excel in taking out enemies as fast as possible. Similar to hunters, they have excellent attacking capabilities, and they have skills that can help boost their movement in order to dodge enemy strikes. Aside from attacking, they can also control enemies by providing debuffs. Even if they can attack fast and at a close range, you must be wary of your surroundings since they don’t have good defenses and survival. However, being able to control your character and dealing damage as much as possible within a short period can be fulfilling with this class.

  • Musician Class

  • Gameplay: Healing, Increase team’s resilience

  • Description: “Musicians listen to the beautiful notes of nature, play and sing its melodious movements, and feel the true meaning of life from its wonders. They excel at controlling sound waves with music to fight or to provide imperative assistance for their teammates.”

  • Notes: Musicians are known for their great support to their teams. They have high survival and assist capabilities, and they can assist moderately with their attacks and other skills. However, their main goal is to help other players by boosting their own abilities, or perhaps even healing them in order to help out in battle. Musicians are a must in a full team composition, so if supporting is your style, then this class is for you.
