In Monkey King: Arena of Heroes, you’ll be working your way through the game’s story and be accompanied with heroes that you’ll be able to summon for your team. There are a lot of different chapters available with enemies that will become challenging as you go forward, you’ll also be unlocking content which will provide you with stronger opponents. Leveling up your heroes is needed, and you can provide them with a lot of ways to become stronger.

One of the features that you’ll be able to acquire in the game is to provide your heroes with Keepsakes, which can provide bonuses to your heroes’ stats. In this page, we’ll be checking out the Spiritual Ruins feature, which is the main place you need to go to if you want to get these items. Let’s check what this mode has in store for you!

What are the Spiritual Ruins?

The Spiritual Ruins is a feature that you can unlock once you have reached level 37 on your account. You will notice that aside from armaments and talismans, you can provide your heroes with Keepsakes which can provide added stats, as well as bonus effects. These items can be collected at the Spiritual Ruins, and you can explore this place on your own, or with a team.

Upon unlocking this feature, you’re provided with Ruins that match your appropriate level. You can unlock more difficulties from level 37, 45, 50, 60, all the way up to 100. Higher difficulties will provide you with better rewards. You have the option to create a team and invite other players from your Sect or assist them, or you can try to join the team of other Sect members as well.

Once you have entered the Spiritual Ruins, you will notice that you have something that looks like an HP bar. However, these are your Action Points. Opening chests, and attacking enemies will consume AP, so you will need to consider exploring the map first and check which set of actions you will do next. Moving around will require you to use the virtual joystick, and there are action buttons on the right-side area.

By checking your map on the upper-right side of the screen, you will be able to see the map’s layout, there will be question marks which let you know the rooms you haven’t been in yet. This game mode is best played if you have other Sect members with you, so you can all share allocation of AP. Towards the end, you’ll find the boss which will let you fight a normal battle. There are also 3 floors that you’ll need to explore, so going in solo might not let you check all floors available.

Spiritual Ruins Rewards

Now that you have an idea on how the game mode works, you might wonder about the rewards you can gain from attempting to finish this mode. As stated earlier, one of the ways you can make your heroes stronger is by providing them with Keepsakes. Keepsakes are additional items you can equip to your heroes in order to provide them with bonuses. You can only get these bonuses if you can get the set effects from the required number of pieces.

Higher difficulties of the Spiritual Ruins will provide you with better Keepsakes. All floors also provide you with a material called Metre, this item is needed in order for you to enhance Keepsakes, which will help out in increasing your Combat Power further.
