In Monkey King: Arena of Heroes, you’ll be provided with gameplay that includes a lot of story elements inspired by Journey to the West. Progressing through the game’s adventure mode will let you play a variety of chapters with different stages, and this will include battles with enemies. As you unlock more chapters and stages, your enemies will become stronger as well.

In order to ensure that your enemies can be defeated easily, you will need to make your current team stronger. There are a lot of ways you can do this such as leveling your heroes up, providing breakthroughs, and more. Another way for you to become stronger is by acquiring relics and then cultivating them. In this page, we’ll provide you with a Relic guide in order for you to understand how this system works. Let’s check what this feature has in store for you.

What are Relics?

So, how do Relics work? Upon reaching level 11 for your account, you will be unlocking two features in the game. One of them is the Relic feature, and another is called Pavilion Hunt which is also related to Relics. These features come hand in hand, where you can use Energy on Pavilion Hunts in order to acquire Relic Shards.

Combining a specific number of required Shards will let you unlock Spirits. There are different relic spirits available, and they can provide you with stat increases for your team as well as other bonuses. Relics can only be unlocked once you reach the account level that is required, as well as obtaining the shards that are needed. Relics can be cultivated in order to provide you with boosts for your team’s HP, ATK, PDEF, and MDEF. Each relic also has a talent that provides extra bonuses.

Here is the list of relics as well as their specific talents:

Strengthening Relics

Unlocking relics isn’t the only way for you to get boosts for your team. Each Relic that you have can also be strengthened in order to provide better bonuses for you. When checking a relic, there will be tabs on the right side that you can use in order to make them stronger.

Use the different tabs on the right side to check how you can make your Relic spirits stronger

Here are the different methods of strengthening, as well as their functions:

  • Cultivate: Use Soul Beads as materials and increase the bonuses that your relic can provide. This increases the Team HP, ATK, PDEF, and MDEF bonuses they give. You can cultivate a Relic until it reaches their max cap.

  • Infusion: By using the required number of spirit shards needed, you can increase the level of your Spirit in order to increase their stat caps.

  • Gem: By using gems from the Grocery Shop, Gift Shop, and Weekly Pack, you can provide Gems to your Relic in order to increase Team ATK, Team HP, and Team DEF.

By improving all of your relics over time, you’ll have a way to increase your current CP. Make sure to do your daily Pavilion Hunts in order to get the materials needed to unlock as well as strengthen your Spirit Relics. This will be a long term goal for you as you progress in the game.
