More Monkey King: Arena of Heroes
Monkey King: Arena of Heroes is a hero collection RPG that lets you experience a story inspired by Journey to the West. Playing new games will mean that there’s a lot of information for you to take in. Collecting heroes, making them stronger, unlocking content, can all be daunting at first right?
Welcome to our Monkey King: Arena of Heroes Beginner’s Guide (Part 1)! In this page, we’ll be providing you with starting tips when playing the game. With the different game features you’ll be experiencing, having some starting activities can help you out. Let us check which features are available when playing for the first time.
Play through the Tutorial to learn the basics
When starting out Monkey King: Arena of Heroes for the first time, you’ll be provided with some questions in terms of your play style. This will provide you with a guide when starting out on which characters you’ll want to play as. There are four playable heroes, and it’s entirely up to you on which one you start with. Upon starting the game, you’ll be able to tap on conversations, and follow an arrow in order to progress for the story.
You’ll be able to skip cutscenes when needed, and your first battles will consist of a story related team. You’ll notice that there’s a lot of animated sequences whenever heroes use their skills, so things might have a slow start. Battles are automatic as well, so take note of the ways on how you can make your hero stronger. Once you are in the adventure map, you’ll be able to fight more enemies, and claim chests that they are guarding. Make sure to claim these chests since they are resources that you’ll be needing.
Claim your Star-rating Chests
As you go through your adventures, you’ll be able to complete a different series of battles along the way. The battles that you complete will provide you with star ratings, and your goal is to get a perfect victory which provides 3 stars. This will be based on how many heroes you have left on your team, or how fast you’re able to clear your opponents.
When checking the current chapter you are in, you’ll notice that there’s a progression bar on the lower-left side that has 3 chests available. These are Star-rating chests, and completing the stars that are required will provide you with useful resources. Make sure to claim these items once you have met their requirements, since all resources that can be claimed will be needed for your progression.
Work on your Feature Manual
When playing Monkey King: Arena of Heroes, a lot of your progression will be based on your current level. As you clear different chapters and stages, you’ll be able to acquire experience that will increase the level of your account and in doing so, you will be able to unlock different features. From the game’s home menu, you will be able to see the feature manual on the upper-left side of the screen, just to the right-side of your HP bar.
Usually, this will show you a feature that will next be unlocked upon achieving a specific level. If you tap on this section, you’ll get more details as well as mini quests that you can complete in order to claim a lot of rewards. For example, you’ll be able to learn about features such as Hero Cultivation, Armaments, Relics, etc. Each of them will provide you with exploration quests for rewards.
Collect your first 10 Jade Rings
The name of the game includes “Arena of Heroes”, therefore you know that there are gacha elements that are available here. There are a variety of heroes available that can be summoned, and they’ll each have different rarities. When forming your own team, you will want to have legendaries as much as possible since they have the highest potential in terms of becoming stronger.
There are heroes that will be provided for you in the story once you begin, but soon enough you’ll want to collect 10 Jade Rings in order to summon up to 10 times. There are a variety of ways for you to collect Jade Rings, and you can follow these steps for starting off.
Your initial set of Jade Rings can be used for your summons to check if you’ll be able to get a legendary hero. You can then decide if you wish to continue playing the game, or if you’ll want to restart a new account and reroll. Legendary heroes will definitely help you in your progress since they have better stats and skills.
Complete tasks and claim benefits
Playing through the Adventure mode of the game will let you experience the story through different chapters and sub stages. Whenever you’re able to complete these areas, there are corresponding rewards that you can claim from the game’s main screen. If you look at the left side, you should be able to see a menu that will show you a task that you’ll need to complete.
For example in this photo, the current task is for you to upgrade a relic. There are a lot of tasks in the game, and this can include your story progress, as well as the use of other features that you have unlocked so far. You can get useful items here such as ingots and silver!
== Increase your Hero’s CP==
CP, also known as Combat Power, is the basis on how strong your hero is currently. When checking your hero lineup, you’ll be able to view all of your heroes and check out their stats, skills, etc. Their CP is displayed at the bottom side using a number. Whenever fighting enemies, they also have CP as well, and you should monitor how much they have in order for you to have an idea if you’ll be able to defeat them successfully.
Increasing the CP of your heroes will be an ongoing process as you progress in the game. There are a variety of ways for you to increase this, such as increasing your hero’s level, breakthrough, level of equipment, relics, and more. Take note that your level cap will be based on your account level. Account level EXP can be acquired through the adventure mode as well as treasure hunts (also known as Pavilion Hunts).
